Commercially that habour will be flop; the new Adani Vizhijam port in south Kerala makes much more sense being on main land India. For navy it can be good, but they are also switching to drones for patrolling and ships are only for inspections. Rockets will do any sinking, so they can be on the island.

I'm from LA, A & N Islands. I feel proud when the Govt. has initiated a development program like this. Don't focus only on the tourism sector. Kindly develop the IT sector (Software Development) for developing the businesses. Allow the Foreign and Indian MNCs to invest here and expand their business. As this is an earthquake zone, buildings and infrastructure should be designed as per Japanese standards.

I am form Little Andaman, (A&N Islands, India) As my analysis i will suggest this kind of development which is given below : 1) Develop Nature Friendly Tourism 2) Develop Medical Facilities 3) Develop Defence Factors 4) Develop Transport Facilities 5) Don't Relocate the Tribal Area 6) Do not encourage gambling 7) Develop the Marine Port not Airport 8) Don't construct multiple floor buildings (because this area is located into earthquake zone 5, and its also disturb the nature) 9) Save Forest (Without cutting Forest develop the area) 10) Don't disturb the nature habities.
