Great video! Loved the in-depth tour of the property and surrounding areas for dining/entertainment. On a side note, the begining of the video is by far the best example you've shown (on video) where CLEAR membership is clutch!

Clear is a game changer. Both lines were busy the day we left and I wanted to capture it on video. TSA precheck line was crazy.

For the price of these resorts I think it’s important to get the full, honest picture before booking. Too many points and too much money at stake for these trips. Hoping to help everyone out to make a more informed decision.

I did the Thompson Savannah with Hyatt Prive when I was there over the summer. One of the best experiences I had and I was upgraded to a suite :)
@thebrandonboydshow2 жыл бұрын
Awesome. We just did a Thompson in. Hi ago and have one in NYC in December. I’ll keep that property in mind when we head back to Savannah.
@aleeoop2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a really great experience. I asked and was upgraded to the premier suite and had views of the Savannah River. Bc with Hyatt Prive, we had steak and eggs the entire time. The downstairs lobby restaurant, the Fleeting, was really good. It is a bit out of the way (like 1 mile from the city center), but right next to the hotel was a bus terminal (I think purple line? And it’s free!). We still walked everywhere because it wasn’t too far. Also because it wasn’t in the center, it was quiet around the area. The Thompson Savannah opened in 2021, so everything had the new hotel smell feel. The rooftop restaurant bar, Bar Julien, had really good Mediterranean style foods, and pizza (if you’re there, their pepperoni butter is where it’s at)

Brandon fun video. When you left the Dave Ramsey company started with credit cards what was your first card?
@thebrandonboydshow2 жыл бұрын
Great question. For just about everyone I recommend the Sapphire preferred for number plus reasons. First, it’s a low annual fee card that has good travel perks. Getting this card first also starts the 48 month clock for sapphire cards meaning you can only earn a bonus on a spahhire card once every 48 months. Get that clock started so you can earn the bonus again. This card can also turn cash back earning cards from chase into points earning cards which give greater value when utilizing transfer partners. This card also starts you out in a good position with your 5/24 status with Chase. I know that’s a lot of info so if you have any more questions, feel free to email me at thebrandonboydshow@gmail.com. Also, here’s a link for the card if you know anyone who would like to apply: milevalue.com/creditcards/chase-sapphire-preferred/?aff=bbs

>I don't think I should weigh in on feeling sorry / if Kayla enjoys the time to herself while filming. I feel like you should ask your regular producer which as you know is Kayla (not sure on the spelling). >With the blue light spectrum it is less than ideal to watch television in bed. Though to run into is a poor layout, the ice cream place might hear you scream when you run into it! >Take care and glad to hear both of you enjoyed your time!

We enjoyed it. Kayla does enjoy her quiet time. I do know that. The tv thing still baffles me.

you make great content but this was too long man
@thebrandonboydshow2 жыл бұрын
No problem. There’s reviews are a little more in depth. That’s why I always include the time stamps. If there is something you wanna skip, go for it. I don’t have the attention span for long form videos myself. But, when someone is debating on dropping serious cash on a trip, I think it helps to include as much detail as possible. I get what you’re sayin though. Just for future reference, what would you remove from this one? I’ll make notes for the next one.

I have Hilton Diamond status. Do you think I should apply for a World of Hyatt card?
@thebrandonboydshow2 жыл бұрын
Do you mind me asking how you got your diamond status? Is it through stays or through a credit card? I think World of Hyatt is the best value rewards program out there. We try Hyatt first every time if we can. It’s up to you though and your specific travel needs. Hyatt doesn’t have as large of a footprint as Hilton so that’s something to consider.
@Retired-jr3qs2 жыл бұрын
@@thebrandonboydshow I got my Diamond status through personal travel stays. I am retired and just trying to maximize my spending through travel rewards. I particularly like the breakfast option or daily credit
@druiz0122 жыл бұрын
Love your thorough reviews. Kayla looked so bored while you filmed the room 😂😅. Late checkout is so nice... one day I would love globalist status! Maybe 2024... what percentage of stays would you say you actually pay for? Can't get them all with points and free nights can you?
@thebrandonboydshow2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don’t recall any stays in 2022 where we haven’t used points or free night certificates. We’ve got three more trips this year where we booked stays with points and free nights. We are doing a Disney cruise that is not on points but the hotel stays before and after it are covered. Got NYC, San Diego, and an all inclusive in Mexico coming up this year. Busy end to 2022!
