Its just so amazing! Terje has had many different guitar effects over the years, but you can always tell itsTerje!! Nobody blasts out interesting lines like Terje! Nobody! He is a genius and on a completely different level than any guitar player! If you listen really close you can hear some amazing subtle Terje backround sounds that he likes to do.. It almost sounds like train in the distance. The cat is incredible and sadly one of the most underrated players around. His new cd is Crime Scene

Its torture for me! I really would love to hear this uncut! This is Terje at his peak of playing! Please show us more of the TV show? Tullius

Gorgeous and haunting. If only Rypdal would play in Atlanta. I've been a fan since the mid-70s when I picked up Whenever I Seem to Be Far Away. Oddly apt title for my first album by him. Thank God for the net so he doesn't seem so far in time or space.

like a flawless rock guitar you simply cannot [and you won`t + wouldn't] escape all over that jazz - magnificent

another great album with Terje all over it..."Three Day Moon"...which was...Barre Phillips on double bass....Terje on electric guitar...and Trilok Gurtu on percussion. Of course...it was an ECM release....around the last half of 1978...

Une ambiance douce et mélancolique servie par des musiciens d'une grande sensibilité. De très beaux climats sonores entre jazz et musique expérimentale.

it seems like there was at least three strange "cuts" during this video for example at 2.13 during Rypdal's solo 5.42 and 6.31 - Stockhausen plays solo

Some of the most amazing Terje solos i have heard to date! So sad its all cut up! But I can study what we have hear. Arild is blowing my mind! Amazing bass player! This a mandatory guitar player study! Rob Tullius.................

not to sound pompous...but I've been telling people that Terje Rypdal is one of the top 5 guitarists alive...ever since I first heard "Waves"...waaaay back in the spring of 1978. That album....made me buy basically nothing but ECM label music...for the next 5 years. ECM...and the musicians associated with it...was the epitome of "good music".

I see that so many give credits to the orchestral background here . It is not the guitar it is a bass loop I set up. The beginning is cut into my playing over the loop which goes all the time during the song.

Sad about all the cuts in the video. But that is probably my top one or two Terje solos of all time, at 2:50 to 3:50 just amazing Terje genius!!!

I hear lots of Robert Fripp, David Sylvian 'DAMAGE' in this piece. Can anyone here tell which one came first?

I think that it is not hyperborean along this video. Solo guitar seems to be the first track of the album "Karta"

I agree with everyone else, the cuts in the video are so disappointing.
