I don't really like bitters but you are damn sure still getting a thumbs up

I absolutely loved this cocktail, but bitters are pretty pricy. Do you know of a cheaper substitute so I could have this more regularly? I already went through a brand new 4oz bottle this weekend. Lol.

I was at a whiskey bar last night, and the bartender made a kind of scorched Old Fashioned by spraying the Angostura bitters in the glass with a small atomizer over a flame. It created a kind of fireball effect in the glass and really changed the aromas of the bitters. I’d love to see your take on that technique!🥃

I love the spirit of this recipe: Add angostura until it brings you joy. Pour orgeat until you smile. Tip in rye until it feels whole. And add a garnish if you have one on hand. Or not. It's up to you!

It's one of my favourite cocktails. Last Sunday my friend tried for first time and she felt in love with it. We did a route for several cocktail bars in Madrid. We had 5 each, in 5 different bars. I use the same measures of ingredients, but I serve it without garnish. Every time I gave one to a client that have never tried before they love it.

I made this last night after seeing this post! I enjoyed the cocktail, but it didn't blow my mind. I was using homemade orgeat, and when it was all mixed together it was kinda the colour of a Bloody Mary which kept throwing me off. I love bitters so I had high hopes, but I think prefer having an ounce of bitters in with a lemon-lime-mint-soda drink (it's an Australian pub classic called a Lemon, Lime & Bitters, but I add extra bitters). But I'm pleased I tried this and gave it a go!

I was so intrigued by this cocktail that I just had to make it. Like, right away. I was making drinks for 6 people, so I had to go and buy more angostura - walking, 20 minutes each way. When it came out of the shaker I was really surprised at how … uh … viscous, it was. It is a seriously weird cocktail, but it tastes great, everybody loved it, glad I made it. Thanks!!

Okay so this tastes exactly like glögi to me! Like a concentrated bright, cold version, but exactly like a glögi otherwise. Kind of mind-blowing. Glögi or glögg is this spicy winey hot beverage we have during the christmas time that may or may not have alcohol. Basically a mulled wine. This is incredible and the fact that we don't have a price for Ango at my workplace other than 1€ cocktail mix makes it better as I just got myself a full cocktail for the price of 1cl of Bulleit rye with staff discount!

Been making this drink based on the 'How to drink' channel's recipe for a little over a year now which includes an egg white for a decadent foam on top. If you'd like to do that, simply follow Ander's recipe, add an egg white and shake *without ice* (be careful to seal this properly as it WILL try to explode bright red bitters everywhere) and then add ice and shake again to chill before pouring into your glass. Cheers!
