@@Cp3786 I know that you WISH that this was the case, but it isn’t. Trump has made sure that each of his many crimes has plenty of evidence available to convict him. It is just a matter of time until all of the crimes are charged and juries decide. Meanwhile, Trump is not going to win in November anyhow, and it is because he and his sycophants are unable to cope with actual reality and actual facts that he will lose in a big way. Most Americans prefer living in a democracy rather than an autocracy, and that will bring out enough voters to keep him out of office. If you don’t think that Trump will follow thru on the threats he has made against democracy, you don’t know him very well.

@@Cp3786 if the Dems are in panic mode it's because Trump's problems are so big he may have to bow out or may be in prison. Then the Republicans will have to nominate someone else as their Presidential candidate. That person will have a much better chance of beating Biden in November. He could have been beat in 2020 and if the Republicans had a better nominee they could have won. Many undecided voters will vote for Biden as a vote against Trump and, if he's still the candidate in November, he will lose again and by a larger margin.

respecting rule of law includes respecting the appeals process. both parties (the people and defendant) have rights to appeal any jury verdict to the full extent of the law (to whatever courts the law permits). i think there are at least 2 more levels of appeal above the trial court in ny. that is how you respect the rule of law: you appeal the jury verdict to the next highest court and make your case for errors at the trial court level (see harvey weinstein conviction recently overturned in ny) no need for congressional hearings or congressional political vitriol . . . rule of law is not always perfect (see people vs. weinstein), but both parties should to respect the judicial process (including the right to appeal) with all of its rights and protections built in over 250 years in u.s. until you reach 'final nonappealable court order'. anything can happen on appeal (see people v. weinstein). and if the appellate court reverses trial court, both parties and their respective political supporters should respect that outcome. that is respecting the rule of law. i did not particularly like the the weinstein reversal, but i respect the appeals courts decision (and the people of ny can appeal that decision if they do not agree with that reversal). respect the rule of law, not rule of anarchy
