It was incredible the way he put away forrest and the way he makes forrest look silly. Before this fight forrest lost his belt to rashad evans. Wiedman did the same thing Griffin did in their first fight, but this time Silva didn't react fast enough, and got clipped with Wiedman's 3rd punch. Forrest went into this fight a few days after being knocked out in training. He went into the fight with a concussion and a fractured jaw. In an interview Forest mentioned he was so nervous for the fight and couldn't sleep he ended up taking a Xanax the night before and he said it slowed down his reaction time and his punches and kicks. He was light on his feet, he moved with grace, he was accurate af, he had great jiu jitsu, and had granite chin. GSP and Jones are great but they all looked like real ppl at some point, grinding, bleeding and sometimes fighting ugly in order to win. Silva was always gracious and magical...

The sport evolved so much. Forrest with that same skill set would not be a top ranked guys in today's ufc. These guys all know so much more today.

For somebody, whose English was very little or almost nonexistent: Anderson really won over the American crowds with his fight prowess and entertaining fight style. He really did his talking in the octagon. The guy had a natural charisma.
