Lights Out 14's fastest car is driven by a BRAZILIAN!
You know and very well a guy who is already a regular here in the channel and in the history of FuelTech, Luís Fernando de Leon, better known on the tracks as Luís VooDoo de Leon impressed in the highest category of Lights Out 14, Radial vs World, competition that brings together fastest door slammers in the world in knockout races.
A ''nitromaniac'' built, tuned and raced a Camaro Radial V8 engine with 6 stages of nitrous oxide rotating 8,000rpm on the Georgia track, without hit in dynamometer and with virtually spare parts, the car was assembled in less than a month and was the most talked about in Lights Out 14. A guy who started his career there in Brazil as an intern became a reference in preparation knowledge and in this event showed that he is able to walk in front of even world record holders of the category, stealing the scene with a car built in pure strength and determination, a recipe that we already know works in competitions like this.
The first place did not come, but follow all the effort and backstage of Luís VooDoo de Leon and team managing in addition to going to the finals, be the fastest car in the category with the time of 3.56s in the 201m. To get a sense of this, the event had more than 400 cars registered in several categories, with Radial X World being the main category of the event, a true drag festival on American soil.
