Considering the previous put downs of solid state amps from this channel, I am thinking there is a lack of understanding what analog vs solid state means. A number of solid state amps have analog preamps. That does not mean tubes, as is alluded to here. A tube screamer is analog, and has no tubes. So the preamp is tube, and the power section is solid state. But it is still solid state, since that term only refers to the power section.
@jonyork9992 жыл бұрын
Analog meaning that the signal isn't being digitally processed. Solid State meaning it isn't tube. In the small practice amp world, something like a Orange 35RT is a all analog solid state, whereas the line6 spiders are a digital solid state. IMO, unless you're into high priced digital amps, analog ones will always sound better, regardless if it's tube or solid state.

Please include some chords and chugs every time you play a distorted sound. Its so hard to tell how itll behave just from lead noodling. Its exhausting to only ever hear noodling and not what most people actually do which is chords and power chords and chugs. I wanna know how palmmuting sounds on the kraken. Not everyone noodles.

My take from this is that you can now go straight from a pedal board to a mixing desk or even a PA speaker rather the having to go to a separate amp and speaker cabinet and then from there to front of house. So mirroring some of the advantages of the likes of the Headrush, Pod go etc. So no lugging heavy cabinets and amp heads around.

I waited a long time for the duchess to come out with the cab sim but meanwhile I got the Iridium and absolutely love the clean tone on it, only the real fender super reverb amp beats it, nothing else comes close to it. Great job by Victory in finally releasing it in this format although I wont be letting my iridium go anytime soon.

Was wondering when a company would do something like this! A valve-based phase inverter is vital for some of the overdriven tones in a number of "traditional" valve amp designs and contributes more to "that valve sound" than the power tubes in most cases. I ended up designing and building my own bass preamp with valve phase inverter to plug into my D-class power amp a number of years back for this very reason.
