I love the Roland Go Piano 88. The piano sound is very nice. Im a Roland guy and a keyboard player so I love the semi weighted keys compared to fully weighted which would be more a challege being a keyboard player and usually playing none weighted keys. I highly recommend this product. I love mine. Keeping it forever

Just throwing this out there but, Casio CDP-S100. Better keys, more sounds, 13 hours on 6 x AA batteries, AND it costs less. Ok it weighs a bit more at 10.6Kg but you get a little exercise into the bargain. Great video though!

I was so ashamed for having a Casio, but I didn't have money for something more expensive. Now it seems Casio are getting better and better. A little bit more and I won't be ashamed anymore :)

@@mariomatovina4 Yeah well your not alone Mario. Unfortunately the CASIO brand was for a long time associated with general consumer electronics and cheap portable keyboards that were fun but not really the sort of thing you would want to use professionally. This is a shame because Casio do have a great heritage in excellent pro level keyboards. Anyone remember the FZ-1 and VZ-1? Anyway things have moved on and the team at Casio are now very firmly planted in the 21st century and giving full focus to producing high quality pro level instruments but...ones that most of us can afford. Personally I would be very happy to be seen on stage with a Casio now :)

@@yamahamusicians Yes, the PX-S1000 / 3000 sure seems to be what you are saying.. good key action, and sound! : - )
@sebastianrockefeller8372 ай бұрын
In my country Casio CDP-S100 costs 15-20% more. The AA is not an advantage as it means the amplifier is weaker (Roland runs on 6x D as it consumes more power). Piano Go 88 has more sophisticated electronic components and better loudspeakers (2x10W). There is another video where both models are compared and to me Roland sounds more realistic. A beginner (for whom this model is intended) will not take advantage of the additional sounds and other gimmick that the Casio offers.
@yamahamusicians2 ай бұрын
@@sebastianrockefeller837 Whilst generally speaking D-Cell batteries are better than AA batteries they also have disadvantages. In most countries now D-cell batteries are not popular due to their size, weight and increased production costs. It also very much depends on how efficient the electronics are in the device being used. And since this video was released there are much newer, more efficient and better sounding options out there. The Roland Go Keys 3 and 5 are perfect examples. Unless you need 88 keys there really isn't any reason to buy any other keyboard in this price range at the moment.

@OttosTheName4 жыл бұрын
The GO:Piano 61 key version has 40 patches, quite similar to the PF-30, it has better Piano's and EP's than the GO:Keys. They removed 36 voices for the 88 so it doesn't compete too much with the PF-30. (PF-30 can only save 1!! recording instead of 99, but it does Split and Layering). Both Piano modela make more sense than the Keys if you're in to Piano's.
@evertonfrancisco91494 жыл бұрын
@@OttosTheName But can this expand its voices to about 30? I ask this because FP-10 is advertised as 10 voices, but it is expanded by Partner pp2 to 35 voices. This means that FP-10 has 35 built-in voices. Maybe GO:Piano88 works like this.

Good point.. Also, I find that in less than 6 weeks, with only occasional / light playing, the FP-10 key action seems to have loosened up beyond my comfort level. It used to be more difficult to play than the Yamaha P-125 for example, yet now the keys literally feel lighter, albeit bouncier. Not sure I like it. Plus little clicks from various keys from time to time? Like a dab of pancake syrup got between the backs of the keys and the chassis of the system? I can assure you that is not the case. The thing that is odd is the way this 'stick' or click is so intermittent, like approximately every 7th time the keys in question are pressed.

Too much stupid talk. Play it and play it slowly. Cheap keyboards don't sustain long. Play it high; cheap keyboards lose their tone qualities up high. Demonstrate the best of each sound, like, not just EP #1. I've heard better Rhodes' from another video, but he's happy with the DX21 junk-EP from whatever is no. 1 and ignores variations that are far more useful. As for banter-- save it for your date afterwards.
