Hi Jacko, I had an old Yamaha KB with a zillion sounds and accompaniments, but it was over complicated to learn on, so I flogged it and got a Casio PXS 1100 and I love it to bits!

Great review , did the more expensive one have a favourite / s facility ? If gigging , having instant access to specific sounds / pre sets is paramount .. well very handy anyway 👍 Casio are really upping their game with these

The CDP-S100 was replaced by the CDP-S110, so you're comparing new vs old.

The CDP s110 is just basically the s100 with more polyphony

I’m checking these Casios in order to use them as a midi controller for my Nord Electro 6D. Any thoughts or opinions? Love your videos Jack!

I must make a compliment, you really made a lot of progress on your playing in the last 2 years. That is evident in this recent upload. And you may have become a bit less focused on the theory that Key Scape is the ultimate solution, I don't know. Maybe you've done enough damage to the European made Clavia Nord. Only by feeding the China beast economy one can get so much delivered into one playable board on this price range. Or they've cloned you and you are a different person. I don't know , but I missed you comparing this Casio to a Nord Stage 3 for example. Anyway you have really improved your licks. Have you been rehearsing on your mom's choir, maybe? That is an eternal gig, you know. I wonder if one could find a corner store in heaven. No hate here, I'm all about love and listening to that pentaonic played right.

Does it also receive midi? I have an Alesis Vortex 2 Keytar and need to connect it to a DAW or synthesizer to produce sound. If I connect my keytar to the Casio CDP360, will I be able to produce sounds with my keytar through the Casio?

I think the Piano Forever James slated a different Casio range? Think the issue was with the black keys being different action wise, making for what he felt was an uneven playing experience. He actually took the keyboard apart to prove his point. The main issues was Casio's KZbin channel getting real snotty about it and saying pretty fact. As it is I'd have the higher prices Casio as it's decent sounds wise.

Yes, James pointed out that the black keys are lighter than the white, and are annoyingly different in weight, not just a fraction. I suspect if you're bashing out songs in a pub band the Casio is ok. Perhaps not ideal for someone learning the piano and needs to build up technique and finger strength.

How does the CDP-360 compare to the Privia S1100 in terms of sound quality and keyboard touch/feeling?

I love my CDP-S100 but there is no Bluetooth available for it and anything playing through the aux port doesn’t go through the internal amp and therefore sounds very quiet. Definitely look elsewhere if you’re hoping to use this as a set of speakers.

Hi, everyone! According a similar price of two pianos what is better Yamaha p145 or Casio sdp s160...?
@GRAFHC
@GRAFHC 2 жыл бұрын
I'll never understand why anyone considers these when Yamaha sells the P125 for the same if not less in most scenarios. It's just a better sounding product, perhaps not as versatile for range of sounds, but it offers plenty and they are far more realistic. Different strokes I suppose. Love the videos, keep them coming please! Thanks!

I had a P125 but never liked the GHS action at all. Wasn't sad to sell it at all. Better sounds but I hated every gig playing the p125.

The p125 is $700 though? The s360 is a little cheaper, has better arranger features, has ivory feeling keys, and can be powered by batteries. Not saying its better 1:1, but you really cant see why someone would be interested in it? Lol
@Clodhopping

@@PantsaBear The action on the CDP S110 feels nicer than the P125. The main issue is the Casio piano voices decay too quickly with only 64-note polyphony..
