If anyone thinks this looks awkward and ineffecient, keep in mind it is a race to cut a very limited amount of grass in the shortest time. By hand. With a scythe. Normal scythe mowing is really easy and fun. The scythe should be sized to the user so they can work standing upright with straight back. Race mowing is quite different. I love using the scythe and much prefer it to a lawnmower. Just learned a better way to sharpen and it's like a whole new tool again.
