The two tiny screws are for anti rotation. So if you throw it on a head one it locks it into the top of the head one so it doesn’t rotate. Worked very well for me.

Good job, I think I'm gonna get this head. I looked at a lot of others and the main thing I don't like is having to use a tool to tighten. This fixes that. Thanks!
@DuncanDimanche-sreview4 жыл бұрын
Clint Hightower it's a good option when using a light setup. with heavier stuff it is actually a bit more annoying to move it around
@nannyvanderlaag25904 жыл бұрын
2:50 - the smaller one is for using a release plate so you can use it on a ballheaded tripod, the bigger one for screwing directly on the tripod (no ballhead). This folding plate works great, very solid!

nanny van der laag I was talking about the tiny screws that are in the bottom of the flextilt head... not the holes
@nannyvanderlaag25904 жыл бұрын
🤭 sorry for the misunderstanding. I think maybe they are for levelling on a flat surface??? Anyway, it is a great product and I bought it when I saw your review. Great job!

Could they be for anti rotation so it doesn't come loose?

@JWS19683 жыл бұрын
It's a great piece of kit but I'm struggling to see how it replaces just a normal good quality tripod pan and tilt fluid head. I'm just not sure how often it would be used in the real world once the novelty wears off.
@DuncanDimanche-sreview3 жыл бұрын
i use mine as a mike stand a lot or when I need to have a camera on my desktop as close as possible to the wall... but you are right other than that it's more of a gimmick for sure.

@@DuncanDimanche-sreview It seems like the base has a small footprint and all your doing is raising the centre of gravity making everything unstable. I could see it working on a slider instead of a ball head but only to give that tilt up and down capability and lower the centre of gravity. I have the same reservations about the Edelkrone Slider one/YC Onion/Smartta sliders. Their small footprint makes using some lenses an issue and you have to add other stuff to make them work which then defeats the whole reason for buying them in the first place. After years of buying stuff like this, I look at what has endured and what has gone to eBay. The stuff that has never faltered is my sturdy tripod and fluid head and shoulder rig. That's it. Everything else became a dust gatherer and eventually was sold. Not including camera equipment of course like lenses. But even then I have two Sony A6300 and both have a 18-105 G lens F4. With a couple of 2200 nit monitors. I would like a couple of Sony A7iv cameras but out of my price range for the moment.

Oub Lck Oficial I own 5-6 too and they don't see much of the light of day haha but when it works it's awesome;) I ended buying the flextild and i am pleased with it but the fact that you need tools to adjust it is a pain in the butt ! And my thread to mount the camera is getting beat up somehow by getting caught in the metal plate

Duncan Dimanche that is totally true! I mean nothing is perfect in life, I wasted a lot of money trying to save and buying cheap products with good reviews and they end being not good enough for me needs, since I started buying quality products I have no more problems besides the one you just mentioned on some of edelkrone products. But you know that some people just complain about products without even buying it to try them, they want it that much that the frustration of not being able to get it makes them try to convince them self that the product is trash. I know it’s not your case your videos are pretty instructive, but I think that people supposed to try before talking! You can always return it 🙏🏾

Hello I did not get if it has got a quick release and if it's possible to put on a manfrotto head. I can see that you do not have any head on the top.

@@DuncanDimanche-sreview Thank you so much for you prompt reply. Very nice of you. So I guess it's possible to attach that head on a quick release plate then the quick release plate to the manfrotto head. It sounds heavy LOL It's a shame they did not think about this option. That's one of the reasons I curse a lot during a shoot... from the tripod to the gimble to the tripod again :) Any advice how to fix that slow workflow?
@DuncanDimanche-sreview3 жыл бұрын
@@shweshwa9202 sorry again for the 1 year old reply !!!! yeah that's the way to do it using quick realease system but it will depend on your tripod head (arca swiss or manfrotto) and also depend on your gimbal's system. I hvave the weebil-s and it uses an arca swiss so I can go back and forth when I bring photo tripods but When i have professional tripods it's annoying as hell and I usually run with two cameras or have a quick release plate on the bottom of the gimbal handle so i never take the camera off the gimbal

if you need to rotate with out turning tripod, you can use the following product from amazon Camera Panoramic Panning Base with Arca Swiss Style Plate from FOCPRO it works well.

So the only big advantage the Edelkrone has is that it has a rotating system? Hard to justify paying an extra €150 for just that feature, but I guess some will. Great review, I’ve just subscribed!
@DuncanDimanche-sreview2 жыл бұрын
thanks mate ! Yes and also it is faster to change positions with the edelkrone because you don't have to untwist and re twist the arms... and you can get more precise positioning with the edelkrone because you don't have a keg wheels that will force you to be at a certain angle.

Seems Edelkrone sends out motorized slider to some of semi-infamous KZbin channels to be advertised. You mentioned to compare and contrast it in your previous video,but you didn't!Anyway,on this tilt head,I have no difficulty on micro-adjustment on second copy,but I had the very same issue on the first.I believe people should ask them to send a second copy or return what they have purchased,if purchased.Quality control was not very favorite option within their line of products,few years back.I hope they are up to higher standards now.
