@@reidwhitton6248Yes but remember Hitler? More pertinently perhaps, in the Kindness doco he comments on the ‘where does he belong’ issue. Most interesting then that he full circled it back to Berlin before he died. (And interesting too that loads of young descendants of Holocaust emigres and survivors are availing themselves of the offer of German passports.)

I came to this video already an admirer of Previn and his accomplishments. His interview with the great NPR host Liane Hansen for Weekend Edition on the release of his book "No Minor Chords" was one of the best things I ever heard. Then this video in which he not only speaks about his great music career in the U.S. but he also speaks at length in German about his early life. What a guy! (I do not think there is anyone today who matches his artistic brilliance.)
