It's so beautiful that Andre still talks about his mentor Gil even in this interview. I feel that the 1992 Wimbledon Championship changed the graph for good, and the phone call conversation between him and his father about which he talks about in the book open has my heart. The events that follow this feels just like phoenix Andre rising from the ashes. Unstoppable, unbeatable, fearless. The world's number 1 title is truly justified. Since I read this book when I was in college, the following two extracts have particularly stuck by my side, and I'm grateful.
