I don’t ever want to be accused of being arrogant, as I think it is one of the ugliest of human qualities, and I know for a fact, I am no better than anyone else and am not concerned with being so. I just want to be the best “Me” I can be...What someone else does, doesn’t concern me one bit. Others can be great and i rapidly applaud them, because my great is different than their great and in my mind, just as valid. With that being said, I think there is a plethora of musicians and artists in our musical community that have great things to offer, but because of the limited scope of America’s radio and record industry, they might not fit the mold of what is calculated to be valid and viable. Artists like Lori Perri and the Perri Sisters, Kacey Clanton, Duane Benjamin, Wendy Smith Bruhne, Lynne Fiddmont to name a few...and I’m not talking American only artists..these are global talents that go unrecognized by mainstream radio because the “trends” dictate what is valid...not heart, soul & talent. With this is mind, I am offering up the first of a collection of songs, some covers, some originals, that I am going to do full production and video to, as my offering to the world as to what “outside the mainstream” music has to offer. If you want to do a video and song production with me, let me know...it’s modest, but we could do it in one afternoon and I’ll put it together, we’ll toss it up and create a whole new genre that’s only objective is to show the world how they are being shortchanged by the record and radio idiocracy & hypocrisy. Only one criteria: Your song has to have heart, soul and feeling on tape, or I won’t attach myself to it. I’m sorry...We have enough trendy, sound alike crap out there and I’ve made the decision not to contribute, support or even acknowledge it as taking any kind of talent to manufacture. I’m calling it what it is... Cookie cutter bull crap. Polished turds. Expensive crap. I could go on for days...
