Linda, I recently told two friends that I 've known for more than 50 years that it is causing me to much mental energy to maintain a very one-sided friendship. My mistake was asking one of them to take an hour of his time to provide some guidance to our son and his partner. Felt like a slap in the face after all the times I changed my plans to help them out when we were in school. So let go of the negative and focus on the positive.
