Eje lo checamos, parece correr bien pero cuando se pone la hoja de sierra es cuando hace problemas. Y hemos puesto varias hojas para eliminar posibles problemas con hoja.

I hope you are right and I get a new working and not damaged saw. I'm really disappointed not to have a working saw I paid a lot of money (at least for me €4700 is a lot).

I actually got the Felder K700 as an upgrade but I had to pay some difference. I'm now writing a script for the video so it should be out this month. In short, K700 is a beautiful machine and I'm really happy I didn't accept K3 back.

I have 5 felder machines and I have been waiting for nearly two years for my issues to be resolved. As good as the machines come out of the factory, there are so many variables that can go wrong between the factory and the final destination. It all comes down to the reseller, seems like you and I have been victims of horrible reseller service. I have fixed so many things my self through trial and error that I'm pretty sure I'm better at working on these machines than their best technicians. I understand your frustrations and hope you can get it sorted. Wish more people would speak up about these issues so that felder could take actions against the horribly shifty service their resellers provide...

Thank you Franz. I hope it gets solved as well. I'm just asking for a same new saw and no additional compensation. I need it to work and make my YT videos. Even though they have some cosmetic damage from the transport, I'm satisfied with other Hammer machines.

Hello, I have the Hammer N4400 and it is a good tool. I also heard that there are good bandsaws out there for less money. Look at SCM as well. As for the sander I don't know because I don't have one, but I see in other videos that it seems like a good machine. Best,

I Andrea, it's nice to see new videos, OK it's been out a while, but we spent 32 days at the cottage, off the grid, I have a lot to catch, on top of taking care of my channel and editing.... I'm so sorry to hear about your mishap, I can't help you here Hammer is out of price so it's uncommon to see it around. I had a friend visiting from France last October saying that I should buy their planner/jointer, because I want new one. When I showed him it was 3 time the price of a brand new one in France he understood why I was not going this route... And I still didn't change my thickness planer, it's crap and I don't want to buy crap again. But looking a t your video, I figure even if it's a renown brand we're still playing roulette with our money....

Hi Alain, I have been quite busy trying to get my tools and workshop in order but I had a lot of drawbacks. Now I'm without a saw I paid money for but there are good news that I'm going to get an upgraded version. I will have that video coming in February 2021. @@AndreaArzensek Humm I'm not sure.... The thing is I want something better that what I already have, this means being more rigid, my new spindle his over 4Kg, it's way too heavy for my setup, but it's a fantastic spindle. It's why I bought nice ball screws. But metal working is not my strength, on top of needing super accurate and expensive tool, which don't mix well with wood dust. So I'll have to rely on Pierre. He came here, saw what I want, and went back home with one of my ball screw rails. But now he found on the classified a 30 year old CMM. I never heard of this, it's a super accurate machinist measuring machine, This has a granite top of 170mm. He think we might be able to modify it and use most of it's part to make the X and Y movement on a super straight surface. But the seller didn't answer my second email... That being said if I go this route, I don't think it will be possible for anyone else to find a broken, and not working, 30 year old machine like that. But this being said, we're not even sure this would work either. But I still have the ball screws to fall on . But still, I will need a lit of machined pieces. Pierre want a new packaging for his YT channel, Renée say that he will deserve it... But I'm so eager to have a better working CNC, as a matter of fact I think it's the tool I use the most in my shop. And I have a big project that will need a lot of carving and I hope to make my base on the CNC you'll see this one day.

The machines probably left FELDER in excellent condition. All the damaged seamed to be from shipping as confirmed by the truck drivers admission. The receiving company should have never accepted delivery and for sure shouldn’t have delivered it to you that way. I’m hoping FELDER gets involved and makes things right for you. I just received the A3-31 jointer planer and I am very pleased with it. I am also planing on purchasing the K3 but will wait until I see the outcome of your situation. Thanks for sharing.

I will have video coming out soon. The technician came and concluded that the machine has too great vibrations and couldn't figure out why. He tried everything. My K3 was sent to Felder and I'm currently without table saw. I have A3-41 and I'm quite pleased with the machine.

About €2000 -3000, but the quality is triple or quadruple for Felder k700. It is a better machine in every way. If you cannot reach k700 I suggest to go for k500. Or buy used one, you won't be sorry

Please correct me if I am wrong, but has this Hammer been replaced by a Felder K700? Update - just found the update video that confirmed the history. I have watched this video a few times and either the distributor should have their distribution contract terminated or there is something serious wrong with the Quality Control at Hammer (Felder).

Hi Paul, Yes, I have a video update on this. We upgraded to K700 and it is a great machine so far and I can't foresee any problems in the near future. Build quality is amazing. I also believe that something is wrong with QC at Hammer line because all of the Hammer machines we bought had some issue.

Hi Samuel, Felder has resolved everything and it was quite fast but we pushed them hard. At the end we got K700 and AD741 instead of K4 and A341. It's has been almost two years since then and we haven't had any issues with any of them and we are really happy with the new machines. If I were to buy again I wouldn't go with Hammer machines, I would directly go to Felder 700's series and probably now I'd even upgrade to 900's even though ours are total beasts for what we need them to do.

I just paid down on on an A3-31 now I'm really worried. I was just about to ask for a quotation for on these units, now there's just no way. Thank you for putting up this video. I'm going to send it to my sales rep in the US. This is totally unacceptable.

I think you'll be happy with A3-31. Besides this saw I got A3-41 and bandsaw N4400 and they are both very good machines for the money. I think I got a lemon. It is apparently my bad luck. Let's see what Felder says.

It seems to be more a problem with the rep in your country rather than Felder them selves. I would call them directly if I were you and get them involved. I think that they will sort you out.

Andrea has your saw been fixed? I took delivery of a k3 winner last week and have cut issues. I also had a problem with my riving knife and height adjustment stiffness. I was able to resolve the height stiffness and riving knife problems; they are related to each other. I plan to post videos showing how I resolved it soon. Are you able to check your saw's arbor and tell me how much axial play your saw has when you push and pull on the spindle end?

Hi Matt, It seems you have the same problems we had with our saw. That is unacceptable. We returned K3 to Felder in Austria and they fixed it but we wanted to upgrade to Felder K700 so that is what we're waiting for. It will come by end of January 2021. Then I will make an updated video.

If you are on twitter or have friends who are then you should make a lot of noise on Felders twitter feed. You’ll be surprised how quick some companies will react to twitter! Thank you Dan! I will contact them directly. I don't think that the problem is in Felder (at least not that much) but in the retailer Totus. I still wouldn't cross out Hammer machines as I have the planer with spiral head which is fenomenal and a bandsaw that works great. I believe that this saw must be as good as those. It seems I got a lemon from the factory and people at Totus didn't do their job to check if my machines were ok. I'm sure that if Totus asked for a new machine they would get one.

Sorry to hear about this.. Totally understand about the frustration - but noticed that Felder themself are on the case now - and are pretty sure it will get solved for you pretty soon.. To everyone else - NEVER sign for anything if it is in ANYWAY damaged when you get it!!! I know it is hard - as Andrea said - you are exited and have been waiting a long time already - and it can feel unbearable to send it back and wait for a replacement - but it will often be the quickest in the long run.. Not to mention that we don't want to be seen as assholes and not trust the driver when he says its minor - nothing to worry about.. Thats just his hopes and prayers - cause he dont want the blame and hassel if not.. Best wishes - hope everything works out for you Andrea! You have had more than enough bad luck now - totally undeserved!

I contacted Felder today and their representative for Balkans told me that I should be careful because I'm damaging their reputation with these videos. I'm just asking for a new machine and they can take the broken one back. But if they continue this I will not stop. I spent a lot of money on this because I was sick of cheap machines...and what do I get...

Hi, we returned the machine. Felder repaired it and they wanted to send it back but we asked for an upgrade. I'll place an updated video in February when I get my new machine.

The shaft on the blade raising mechanism is bent and the gears are not meshing evenly-problem. If you take the sliding table off to get at the inside of the saw; due take measurements of the distance of the sliding table to the cast iron table and check the height of the sliding table to the plane of the cast iron table. This way you can adjust the slider to where it should be upon reassembling the saw. Make little wood shim the shape of wedges and mark on the sliding table where the wedges are placed to measure spacing and take the fine point marker to show the measure on the wedge. Three wedges along the slider should do it. Get several accurate steel rulers to measure shafts and other parts inside the saw. Get an accurate 100MM right angle tool (called a square over here in Chicago) and start measuring and check one part to another. I have a dial indicator with magnetic base I use to check shafts to other movements. It does not have to be an expensive dial indicator to get the job done. It may only be that the cranking shaft on the blade lift needs to be repositioned to correct the gear meshing.?? Get a diagram from Felder of the saw parts and listings before you begin the work of correcting the adjustments. It's like a bicycle: you see how much the wheels is needing to be trued and then start adjusting the spokes to true the wheel. I had one Felder motor on my Format4 Profil 45 shaper that quit. I paid a technician $20 to check out the motor. He said motor was OK. The electric connection part had failed (Felder had no circuit protection that would have prevented the problem ($15 part that Felder did not include)). Same thing happened with the first electrician who came in to hook up the Felder shaper and Oneida 7.5hp cyclone dust collector. Electrician had a reading problem (learning deficiency) and he hooked up the wrong colored wires. His standard answer was, "you need to contact the factory; something is wrong with the machine(s)." I studied the wiring diagrams for two days and found the problems without having to pay the seller to come fix the problem. We learn what is supposed to be on machines and automobiles and then we can figure out what the problem is. I am a Yankee and it is our approach to the world. You and your brother can do it also. I have had a full workshop of Hammer machines built up over the last 20 years and they have never been a moments trouble. The UK distributor is great albeit expensive. It sounds like you have a distributor that is less than responsive to your troubles. Contact Felder direct as previous comments have recommended I am sure you will get a positive response.

Hi, For these kind of reviews i decided to go for Felder (Hammer) and I have to say I'm very pleased with A3-41 and ok with the bandsaw. I contacted Felder representative for Balkans today and he told me that they will solve this and that I should be careful because these videos are damaging their reputation (sounds like a threat to me). @@AndreaArzensek Don't be put off by any perceived threats, their products are sound and so is their service. If the experience is accurate and true then they have no grounds for complaint. When they have sorted the problem and you update the video their reputation will be enhanced. In the mean time showing others what to do when things do go wrong, is always helpful. How many people would have suffered the problems without alerting Felder and been dissatisfied with the machine for ever more.

Had also a problem with the k3 with the knife and saw adjustment. They charge me for calibrating because they say it could be a problem of the transportation...no words for that.

That is ridiculous that you had to pay for their fault. I'm really pissed with the Hammer line and even more how Felder treats customers. After I published my video they completely changed the tune but not everyone has the time or will to make the video.

@@AndreaArzensek As you discovered -- putting serious pressure on the manufacturer is the best way to get results if they are being irresponsible. However, you should have rejected the machines when they were scattered around the back of the transport truck. Once you sign for them, the problem moves to you. But if Felder understood good customer service they would have moved to cover your problems -- the goodwill from you would more than have paid for their expenses. They clearly are not smart and just looking at their direct expenses. Now the story of them be unresponsive is coming back to haunt them. I'm glad to hear you are mostly satisfied with the upgrade solution (I hope someone else doesn't get your returned saw as being a new one!)

Me too, that's why I went for them. I think that all this situation around the Covid made some errors in the production. I'm waiting now for K700 but I'm quite happy with their Hammer A3-41 and N4400.

Andrea, Sorry to hear about your experience. The K3 can definitely leave someone disappointed, but it can be a good machine too with some tuning. I understand you had a lot of problems that I did not though. Did you try cleaning and lubricating the threads for the blade height adjustment? I had a similar problem as you until I addressed the caked up sawdust on my threads. The dust collection shroud needs to be engineered better to catch the finer dust that collects on the trunnion threads. Best of luck to you.

The machine's lifting mechanism was stuck when the machine was brand new in the shop. Official technician came and he spayed some lubricant in it. Still after one month the wheel was spinning too hard. Something was wrong with this particular machine from the start. On the other hand the other two we bought are performing good.

Hej Miha, Evo upravo danas smo primili novu pilu Felder K700. Totus se opravdao i bili su super decki i sva komunikacija je bila odlična nakon fijaska sa K3. Danas su sami doveli sa svojim kamionom mašinu K700, ubacili je u radionicu napravili sav check up i sada je spremna za rad. Jako smo zadovoljni trenutno ali je prerano reci koliko jer smo tek par rezova napravili. U svakom slucaju cu napraviti video update da se zna sta se dešavalo i zašto je toliko kasnilo sve skupa. Bio je ovo test živaca ali izgleda sve je super prošlo (za sad, da pokucam u drvo). Lijepi pozdrav iz Fažane

Hi Andrea, as far as I know there was a change few months ago about motors... their supplier stopped their activity therefore they had to find an another one quickly. Could you tell me what is the brand name on the motors of your K3 ? If you still have it in your workshop.. thanks again and I hope your Felder will satisfy you !

I'm considering buying my first machines for the workshop and Felder is on the list, yet if I get a chance to buy something similar for similar money, I'll probably avoid Felder. I've heard so many complains on their service that it just appears to be to much risk.

Actually Felder machines are very good. I have replaced my K3 with Felder K700 and it is an absolute beast. They seem to have the problem with Hammer range recently. I have problems with my A3_41 jointer planer as well, Felder is currently resolving this as well.

Sorry about your trouble Andrea. I live in British Columbia, Canada . I bought the A341 jointer/planer in March. It arrived from the factory with a damaged fence and a bunch of little things that made it appear to be hastily assembled. I called the dealer and they said they would order me replacement parts no problem. I checked the machine with a a straight edge and gauges and discover a whole world of disappointment. The machine was so out a whack it blew my mind. The indeed table had a had a huge dip in the middle and another just before the cutter head as well as being way out of co plane and the outfeed also had a severe dip in the middle. The dealer questioned my ability and experience with checking a machine like this and after some words agreed to come check it out. The dealer claimed to be a tech which was not true and he made the machine worse. Over a week or two there was some back and forth where they expected me to just have this machine and it would be 4 to eight months before replacement tables arrived and then there “tech” would maybe or maybe not install them. I demanded my money back and they refused. There was more back and forth but eventually they agreed to return the machine to there store in Burnaby bc at my expense and return my money. During this event I had called and emailed felder many times looking for information. To this day no response. I will never ever buy anything from the felder group and I bought an scm fs41e instead and it’s a wonderful machine. Couldn’t be happier. Also scm actually has trained technicians that reside in the province unlike felder

Because Hammer machines are not well made. Felder machines on the other hand are completely different animal. It seems to me like they are made in different factory altogether. Best, Andrea

That is really sad. I eventually upgraded to Felder K700 and I'm delighted with it, it is completely different saw and it seems like it's made in a different factory. There are still some small things that could be done better but these are tiny compared to problems I've had with K3. I made a video on K700, you can find it on my channel. Best regards from Croatia

This is kinda a bummer and I'm sorry to hear. I'm on the fence about either Jet 12" Planter/Jointer with Helical head or a Hammer A3-31 with the silent cutter... about the same price, but the Hammer was in the lead up until I've seen more than a couple customers unhappy with customer support post purchase. Maybe I'll go with the Jet now...

Luckily Felder took this matter into their hands and resolved it. Check out my latest video on my channel. I have the Hammer A3-41 and my tables are out of tolerances. Now I'll be waiting for new ones, and see if that resolved the problem. I think that I'd never go or recommend Hammer line again until they prove different. On the other side Felder line machines seem to be very well made.

I haven't heard about k400. But I know that K500 is the same aggregate as K3 winner but the sliding table and and fence are from Felder series, thus much better. However the aggregate is where the problem laid in my saw so this is why I observe the K700 as an option now.

@@AndreaArzensek yes K500 is combinations between K400 n K700 , sliding using roller x but thensize of table is only 2800 mm .. finally i confirmed with k400 hope it does work well as this is my first purchased after reviewing some of other brands

Sorry to hear about this Andrea and I hope you get a good solution. The distributor and transport service are responsible. I started with Hammer machines, moved on to Felder and now I'm waiting to receive a FB640, Plan 51L and Exact 63 :-D Always direct with Felder, always absolutely excellent results. Felder makes THE best woodworking machines out there, from beginner to industrial, and are a great company too. It annoys me that their reputation could be damaged by the distributor... Hopefully we will see an update from you soon, but in the meantime I wanted to say that your experience is very unfortunate and not at all an accurate representation of what dealing with Felder is like. Planiran kupiti Hammer a3 31. Između firmi koje gledam je naravno i Totus. Kad bi ponavljao kupnju bi li nakon svega uzeo njih u obzir opet. Jedna firma it Austrije mi je na popisu kao prva od koje ću uzeti mašinu. Ako ću imati problema sa njom kome se onda obratiti pošto oni samo prodaju a Totus ima kao i svoje ljude, makar prema ovome što vidim i nisu baš nešto.

Pozdrav Djuro. Ne znamo sta misliti o Totusu, mozda smo samo mi imali lose srece. Sve u svemu ispala je loša situacija oko dosta stvari i neke stvari su se jako loše izvele. Da li je sve to bilo zbog korone, nisam siguran. Još smo u kontaktu i riješio se problem oko K3 Winnera, sada ocekujem servisera opet da podesi A3-41 jer su se stolovi otpustili. Na kraju mislim da smo mi sami krivi jer smo potpisali papire prijevozniku za dostavu. Ali i na kraju se ispostavilo da je neka greška bila u Felderu oko osovine K3 Winnera. Valjda se sve bude dobro završilo. Lp iz Fažane

@@AndreaArzensek Planirao sam uzeti Jet 310HH ali na kraju sam se odlučio za Hammaer. Čitao sam da Jet ima problema sa podešavanje ravnina stolova a sad vidim da i tvoj A3 isto ima da se nešto otpustilo. Ne računam na servisere jer volim takve stvari sam rješavati pa se nadam da neće biti ništa ozbiljnije. Oukej hvala na informaciji i keep up the good work 😉

Thank you Alcione. We paid 10600 to Totus for the machines. I think that the replacement is in order. I don't ask anything for lost time and effort. I just want a new and working machine that I paid for.

Actually I have got N4400 and it is fantastic tool. It seems that they had some line problems with the K3 because I'm not the only one. I upgraded to K700 and I will make a video once I have the saw with me. Cheers

Ni yo se que decir. Me prometieron que todo estara super y nos gusto la idea tanto de su empresa qur compramos 3 maquinas de total de 10600 euros. Nos regalaron la aspiradora (500 euros). Solo la sierra de mesa es el problema, otras maquinas tienen daños cosméticos pero funcionan bien.

Thanks for sharing this video. To think that for some days I was giving serious consideration in getting one or two of these Hammer products as I have some big projects to make quite soon. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the quality of the machines from the Felder group but the almost non-chalant response regarding the damage on your machine from the supplier is very concerning. I shudder to think what the response would be for someone who finds himself in a similar situation from far south in South Africa. I guess the likes of Robland or WoodFast amongst others will be in my cross hairs from now on.

Andreas, well done video. I feel your pain. I have been a professional woodworker for almost 50 years and now running a school of fine woodworking. We recently bought a hammer 12 inch jointer planer, and the K3 winner tablesaw. They are both horribly overrated and abysmal quality especially for that money. The jointer fence wobbles and is not even milled flat. The tablesaw has more problems than I have time for here. And as you mention the most annoying thing is to have to deal with Hammer/ Felder who blame all the issues on somebody else or say “well how is this our problem?” I’ve never dealt with a more childish and irresponsible company. You can be sure none of our students will be getting recommendations for hammer tools, and I’m trying to sell this one as fast as possible . Felder has a pretty terrible business plan, and a very low standard of ethics

Hi Jonathan, I agree with your observations on Hammer machines. You can find continuation on this saga on my channel. Later we decided to give them a chance with their Felder 700 line machines (with nice discount) and we're very happy with them. It seems like they are made in a completely different factory and customer service treated me excellent (but that's probably because of this video). Anyways, it has been over a year and we love my machines, we didn't touch them since and they are still true like the first day.

A new machine should be new. Your shipper is to blame. The sliding table is out of align with the blade and the rip fence is out also. Something moved the motor and caused an alignment problem. Looking at the cut of the wood is evidence of the lack of alignment. The vertical raise is also bent or mis-aligned and hence the difficult cranking-muscle required. Any machine you buy can be fixed if the tech person is capable. I bought a Martin T60 and there were loose wires from the factory that were causing the machine to stop. Also the lifting servo motor was not strong enough for the weight of the motor and trunion so those did not work until I ordered a gas pressurized (mini shock absorber style) and had to drill out the attaching point and screw thread it to the piston gas device. Any machine can be fixed. You will have to take the sliding table off and use some measuring devices to check what is out of alignment and go from there. Find a machine shop person with mechanical skills and that will get the machine back in good running order. If I lived closer I could do it for you. Cars, hand tools, furnaces and woodworking machines get damaged and need fixing. Find a capable machine shop person and you will get to the bottom of it. Talk to woodworking shops in your location in person and ask who they use to correct their machines. I found a man with 30 years experience in setup and repair of expensive printing presses and he helped me along with my gift of mechanical savvy. You can do it; just begin without those talkers! You have a rather simple machine in that saw and that is good.

I hope so, tomorrow morning the "Safety Technician" is coming again to reinstall the new motor. Totus agreed on changing the sliding part and fences on their cost but I still want a new saw. Let's see what happens.

They said one thing and then I get machines that were not set up correctly nor checked. The thing that makes me angry is that I paid for that service. I still believe that Totus (retailer) is the one pulling my nose or maybe there is a dirty secret at Felder. I'll keep you updated. Today I talked to the Felder representative for Balkans and beside other things that they will figure it out he told me that I should be careful with these videos because they damage their reputation. Like if I hadn't published this video my saw would undamage itself. Luckily I published because now at least they will change some parts free of charge but I still demand for a new saw.

Hi Andrea, unbelievable that you got such a bad service. It seems that your local distributor should file a claim with the transport company that probably broke your machine. If they shipped it ensured for damages during transport than the insurrance company should send someone to make a case on it and get you a new one. I was looking myself into hammer for a C3 31 machine Combi but now I'm not so sure anymore. What other brand would you concider if you could do it again? Robland NX31 maybe? Best Regards from Belgium

Hi Edwin, Our saw had been taken back to Austria and they have repaired it. They also gave us a possibility of a refund but we have decided to upgrade K3 to Felder K700 and pay a bit more. I'll make an update video in February when I get the saw and I use it a bit. We are satisfied with two other Hammer machines. They are not for professional usage but they can do quite precise work. When making another purchase in future I will probably consider used Altendorf, Martin or Format4. But I still think Felder has better machines than others in this price range, we (sadly) just got a lemon. Greetings from Croatia

Andrea doesn't sound fair ... the only remedy is for the machine to be replaced with a working / non damaged one ... then the one you have can be refurbished at the factory ans sold as such. It doesn't matter if you purchase one or many , everyone should be treated the same . Also this craft is very much about the tools ... in getting the job done . ( BTW I am building the London Phone Box and it will take me some time )... Bob.

Hallo Andrea, it is outrageous that a large company like Felder treats the customer in this way. It seems that she is being fooled by the paying customer who thinks she has bought a good product. Experience is as soon as the cash register rings they send the customer from the cupboard to the wall. In other words they have lost a customer. I still have to say that other three machines are in working order with Hammer A3-41 being the best and least damaged in transport.

I’m trying to decide between the Hammer K3 and A3-41 or the Minimax SC4E and the Minimax FS-41. Knowing if Felder did or did not do the right thing would certainly help in the decision making. I don't know about Grizzly but I'd avoid Hammer line in the future. On the other side, my Felder line machines are great.

It was indeed shocking. Recently I received a new one and it is working perfectly (for now) and they treated me really nicely. I suppose they understood the error and wanted to make it correct. I will have a video around the end of this month.

I have had a K3 48x48 for 4 years. I would not recommend it. The slider is impossible to keep square, and the cheap locking mechanism, which secures the slider, degrades over time. Even with the Marius Hornberger upgrade to the crosscut fence, it is impossible to ensure a solid and true crosscut for any duration of time. For the cost, there are better performing saws.

Now we have Felder K700 and it is absolutely fantastic. I have no complaints and I don't see any problems in the near future. It is built like a tank and it will probably last forever, or until we decide to upgrade to a bigger saw.

I contacted them today and I was told by their representative for Balkans that I should be careful of what I say in the videos. Soon I'll be posting that video as an update. It seems like they really don't want this to go the easy way. I'm (still) just asking for a new saw and returning this one to them.

@@AndreaArzensek There are a lot of stories floating around the net about Felder's notoriously bad service. And a lot of stories that praise their service. It all seems to depend on who you talk to. I hope they will sort this out. If I were you I would try getting in touch with their HQ or if that doesn't help even their marketing.

I got mail from them yesterday. I asked for an upgraded saw (Felder K700) but as it is they will send me the old one supposedly repaired and a small compensationfor my time without the saw.

11:20 WTF???? Immediatelly I saw this I knew that this guy is not a good technician. My question would be - is the machine safe when the blade is vibrating like that, when the machine isflexing etc.? What I would like to know is what would the Felder Group from Austria say about this, because you can see it all around their web, advertisements etc. that they care about customer service - have you contact them? Because KZbin can be the best advertisement or worst nightmare so it would interest me how they would reply on this. Greetings from Czech Republic and wishing it to be fixed soon.

Man, sorry you got damaged machines. You've had some bad luck with power tools. That's very disappointing. They failed to strap the machines to the wall of the truck and they tipped when the truck made a turn. It looks like it's probably normally a pretty great saw (if it wasn't damaged).

Hi Steve, it seems we are out of luck by some extent. On the other hand their Bandsaw and Planer work great. Some modifications were needed to make dust extractor better but now it works fine.

Wow. That shipper (and reseller) did horribly, and then lied to you about what happened in there. I hope they make this right for you, and they make the reseller pay. When I bought my Felder K700 in early 2017 (very similar to this, and around the same price), it came in a very well-wrapped pallet, directly from Felder. Felder did all the calibration and setup in the factory, before shipping. I double-checked it, and it was all perfect. No reseller needed or used. The pallet also included anti-tip sensor. I don't have to pay VAT (which is probably a couple thousand euros for you), but my K700P, purchased in late 2016 (arrived in January 2017) was: Price $12,454.00 60th Anniversary celebration discount: $2879.00 Total: $9,575.00 That was for: - 3.0kW 230v motor - 19.5mm dado tooling prep - Mechanical scoring unit - 31" rip capacity - Micro-adjustable rip fence - 1100mm crosscut fence - Precision mitre unit with pin locating system on outrigger - Edging Shoe - Eccentric clamp and mount - TCT 300mm universal saw blade (size needed when using scoring blade) - TCT 315mm universal saw blade (the size I usually use) - Adjustable TCT scoring blade 100mm - Riving knife Shipping was a couple hundred USD, as I recall, for both the jointer and the K700P. Purchased it all through the Felder office in Delaware, US. They arranged all shipping once it arrived in the US. Not sure if they sell direct in Europe, or if you have to go through a reseller. The assembly was not difficult; you don't need someone to do that for you.

@@Psychlist1972 Yup, your saw is more than double the price but for a reason as well. I thought about upgrading in future with Felder 700 or 900 series. Also I got response from the Balkans representative and it was not what I expected. I will publish another update video soon. I'm still very happy with A3-41. How is yours performing and how long have you had it?

@@AndreaArzensek I got ther A3-41 the same day as the K700 (early 2017). I don't use it as much as the saw (sometimes I buy wood S4S, sometimes I'm working with plywood or MDF), but it has been a joy to use every time I've used it. I really like how well it does with figured wood, and how quiet it is. Cranking the table up and down has made me batch my work so I make sure to finish all the jointing before planing. I also really like having such a large, flat table on the jointer. The only thing I don't like is the fence. But you have to go way up in the Felder line to get a different style. I find it can go out of square if you put too much pressure on it. I shouldn't do that, but it's an old habit from having a cast iron fence on my old 6" jointer, so sometimes I forget.

I have lived in Mexico for 5 years anf I haven't had this many issues. I bought machines there and they all worked great. I still use my DeWalt drills that are made in Mexico and I love them. Saludos desde Croacia

Damaged in transit and you take it off the lorry because you are keen to start working! If the machine arrives damaged like in your case it goes back to Felder and not into the workshop. With the bare eye you could not see at first sight what else happened on that lorry! Naturally you are annoyed 😠 but it's mainly the hauliers fault but yours too by thinking it could be solved later.

This is completely true and I agree on that. But that doesn't explain vibrations, riving knife coming loose, some damages on the saw body were rusted so it was an old scratch and overheating of the arbor. The thing is I'm not the only one to have these problems and people actually wrote me same things happened to them. One user even lost a piece of finger due to riving knife becoming loose in the middle of the cut. This is a problem at the production line. Now I have Felder K700 and it is incredibly well made, it looks as it is from another company.

Dužina je 2000mm. Nisam ništa morao štelovati do sada (ali ga imamo kratko, 2 mjeseca). Osigurač je C25 ako se ne varam (mora biti C).

I would say 99% of the problems came from shipping damage. Felder needs to take back the machine and ship you a new one. Grizzly for example just sends you a new machine. No ifs, ands, or buts. they just make it right. I know this video is old but I hope they sent you a new machine.

Yeeezzz those vibrations ... Have this been resolved ? Felder can not be proud of this, and should supply you with a new one, and fix this machine at their shop. Then they could sell it as used one and save som face. I had a Felder KF700S saw/router and are as I told in another video in the marked for a brand new saw for the shop. This is certainly a ding in the Felder fasade.... Of course all machines can be faulty, the hallmark of a good company is how the deal with problems for the end user. Not good.

Ouch, hope your machine got sorted out in the end. I have a couple of Hammer machines ( A3-31 and N4400 ) that are OK not great, glad I bought a Minimax SC4E for a table saw it's a great machine.

That is shocking!! That saw is a lemon and needs to be replaced, something structural in the motor/trunnion assembly is bent for sure to cook bearings and belts and the vibration is terrible. Your blade height control should not be like that, how anybody that is supposed to service machinery can say is okay is beyond me, I assume it's the same plonker with his arm inside a running machine and his head 30cm from a spinning blade....... WTF! I'm in the market for a new bandsaw and was actually seriously considering buying a Hammer N4400 in the UK so await your review on that machine patiently but this has really turned me off. I have bought all my machinery so far from Axminster Power Tool Centre in the UK, they use their own truck and employee for delivery and everything arrived in perfect condition, I had one small issue with my saw being supplied with an incorrect blade, called them and they resolved immediately and shipped the correct part to me next day. I have bought a planer/thicknesser, edge sander, table saw, pillar drill and dust extractor from them so far with only that one tiny issue.... maybe I should stick to what I know works and swerve Felder/Hammer! Good luck getting your mess resolved, I would suggest trolling Felder on Twitter and writing a complaint letter to them. Your local dealer is obviously a waste of time and will never resolve your issues, I think you will have a much better time with Felder direct. I'd suggest joining some woodworking forums on Facebook and sharing the link to your video also, the more exposure you get the more likely you will get a response from Felder, Kings Fine Woodworking is a good group and I'm sure 1000's of people will view the video just to help you out. Good luck and looking forward to hopefully seeing a video soon with you praising Felder for their customer service in sorting the mess out for you.

Hi Phil, Thank you for your kind words and support. I still believe that these machines are well made and that I got a lemon. But I don't like that they treat me like I'm stupid and without voice. As for the machines I got I can highly recommend A3-41 with spiral head, there are some minor design things but at this price it is fantastic. The band saw N4400 is hard for me because I got a bad quality blade on it and it was damaged a bit in the transport but it runs very smooth and it has plenty of power. The machine is really nicely made but at least mine has some things I didn't like and I don't know if they are caused by transport or they are built that way. Wait for the review to decide if you'd like to get one. Best regards from Croatia

Hi, I have a Hammer N4400 and the 410mm planer with spiral cutter, I am educated mechanical ingineer with 30 years experience in machine construction, and after my opinion my Hammer machines are made like cheap chineese machines, I have a hard time to believe that Hammer are made in Austria, I think they are Chinese made, I Aldo have a Felder F700 saw, this is a compleatly diferent qualety it is made to be used and Last. My Hammer machines i have to use as hobby machines for light work, for the future I will buy used profesional machines... For now I am stuck with my Hammers..
