Twenty years ago I contacted Bells Palsy and lost control of my lip. Now at 74, determined I got it back. This rendition of Danny Boy is the best. Just Beautiful.

The beauty of his tone and musicality is awe inspiring. I also very much appreciate that with these "Play with me" arrangements he presents newer players with performances that they can aspire to imitate, staying in the middle range, playing slowly and melodically- a real gift to the trumpet students of the world! Having quit trumpet in 8th grade, I recently started playing again 50 years later. When my music teacher asked what piece of music I would like to work on, this was the one I chose!

What a beautiful and wonderful player. Smooth thick centered tone and marvelous control of his instrument. My old teacher asked me if I wanted to high or fast or with great technique. The theme fits really well with the movie. Playing it at the beginning of the movie was a subtle way that showed the eventual outcome of their relationship, which makes rewatching it that much sadder (if you know the lyrics). Just another reason why this is one of my all time favorite movies.
