Great video ! For those who may need a substitute solution, Maybe use essential oil/vinegar/oil, if you are worried about babies and pets or have an allergic reaction to commercial brands. (Pour one cup of water into a glass measuring cup. Then add 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar. Then pour in two tablespoons of olive oil. Then add 5 drops each of lemon, grapefruit, and lavender essential oils. Shake well and spray on the surface that needs dusting.) The most worrisome preservatives in fabric softeners/laundry detergents include methylisothiazolinone , a potent skin allergen, and glutaral, known to trigger asthma and skin allergies. Glutaral (or glutaraldehyde) is also toxic to marine life. Among artificial colors, D&C violet 2 has been linked to cancer. All love and peace ❤️

Careful. Aromatherapy can lead to Chemotherapy. Learn how to clean house without toxic chemicals. Low VOC is the way to be. She will be inhaling the fumes from that fabric softer 24/7/365. The dust is less harmful than the fabric softener. Damp mop with water is superior.

Your baseboards appear cleaner than some to me. I’d like to see the 2 hand method. I’m used to using elbow grease. I think it’d be better for me to have my knee pads on and using a wet cloth and use some elbow grease. I think that type of broom with those soft bristles wouldn’t remove much to me. I prefer a much firmer brush. I like to spray Murphy’s cleaner and go back and clean and wipe.

If you have a garbage disposal, there will be lots of rotting food up under the black rubber flaps in the sink drain. You can get a replacement one that pulls out entirely to clean. Pour a little bleach down the drain occasionally to keep the plumbing cleaner and kill food odors. That black thing should be cleaned OFTEN. 😉

So, what exactly is fabric softener? A base, an acid, absorber, what is it? I ask because I think Americans own a ton of chemicals which could really just be replaced with 3 or 4 things: baking soda, lemon juice, etc. If I have more than 3 chemicals under a bathroom sink I stop and try to think how I could give less money to Procter and Gamble.

But yes make sure you disinfect as well at least once every two weeks I'd say. Softener sure will make it smell good soften them up, but really disinfect them as well. It doesn't hurt the carpeting at all and you'll be in shock when you see how dirty and how much comes up. Also yes the shaving cream works I would buy a few bottles I sprayed 4 floors completely used a tooth brush if there was a little stain left it a little bit , wet the mob and it cleaned my rugs like new, I also browed my Neighbors wet dry vacuum it sucked everything up. YES 👍 YES 👍 YES 👍 Something that I've learned that I believe should be passed on is that I ⌚ 👀 sell this 🏠 during the global pandemic is that liquid fabric softener takes off wallpaper so it does a lot more than what we've been accustomed to I personally think that going over the baseboards with a dry reusable cloth beforehand goes the extra mile {allergies} you don't need toxic poisonous chemicals in or around your 🏡 it's not healthy for your 👪 or your 🐈 or 🦌🥀

The cloth on a broom at least in my house is very old idea my mother always used it. The fabric softener is a good addition.

Oooh thank you 😊 I have my fur babies water and food bowls by the floor boards and when they gobble down their yummies it's inevitable that they will get food on the boards. I'm constantly wiping off but this method is going to save me using up my paper towels and my back! 👍

The just need to invent an effective wring-out version of one of those shag style mop pads on a small rotating pad; (the ones that are usually light-green, long shag-pile composed of long velvety twines. They make bath matt's out of the same material). They use this material on a flexible stick or pad but it's not practical to use on hands and knees or continuously rinsing/drying by hand.

Yah, but the broom is ingenious in the way the bristles conform to ANY contour! This idea really needs to be utilised in future cleaning inventions. I'm just trying to think of some way you could adapt it to rinse the dust off after each swipe but I guess you could just keep repositioning the fabric to a clean area?🤔

Earlier today I used a paint brush to clean my pedestal fan, then used a bounce fabric softener sheet to get the remaining dust off and it worked. But usually I use downy softener to clean my carpets to not only to keep dust down but to eliminate static electricity. I really does work and makes your carpet softer also. Thanks for sharing.

@@DebbieUnderfinger Just pour liquid Downey softner in the rinse water in the carpet cleaning machine. About 1/2 cup. Also used it in the cleanser before rinse. It makes the carpet softer and smells so nice, also gets rid of static shock when someone touches you.

Just wondering if the baseboards are in a carpeted room and you get some spillage--is it ok on the carpet? Or avoid these areas.
@michelletennyson8535
@michelletennyson8535 2 жыл бұрын
It’s made to be used on fabrics so carpet should be no different but if it’s too much it may cause a temporary, slightly greasy looking stain that should easily be removed by rubbing it with a little (maybe warm) water or a damp sponge/towel.

@Mandy_39
@Mandy_39 2 жыл бұрын
Unless they're licking the baseboards I'd think it's ok because it's so watered down. Guess it depends what you use on a regular basis to clean? If that doesn't bother them, fabric softener or conditioner shouldn't but obviously use your own judgements cuz I don't want to be responsible for hurting your fur babies 😉

@@Mandy_39 good point!! Gizmo is pretty smart except for getting under our feet. lol. I like to find out as much online as possible and follow up with my vet BEFORE doing anything. I agree too. I wouldn't want to be responsible for hurting someone else's pet. I appreciate that.
