The new lands that enter untapped if a player has 13 or less life has been hilarious for experimenting with extra colours in "hot dogs". Not only does the deck get your opponent to quite low health very early, but immolating souleater can just litterary put your HP in range letting you play these cards untapped at will.. either to get black for tainted strike or blue for Enter the Enigma (Gives a creature unblockable and cantrips). This coupled with Assault Strobe or Temur Battle Rage giving double strike makes the Souleater a lethal threat. Its extra fun when you can put it out on the field as early as turn 1 using a lotus bloom, or the more budget friendly simian spirit guide. Honestly with the slight rise of combo decks like broodscale and familiars, combined with some Affinity players being greedy and having way to many tapped lands, Hot dogs can be a fun "of meta" deck that can get some really quick wins.. because the games will definitely be over quickly! You either win quick or fizzle out.. but as a dad time management is important and when i'm playing online, match speed is a factor >.

Sadly I didn't liked "Grab the Prize" in my deck. I find the plot from "Hightway robbery" or the instant from "Demand answers" as well as the possibility to not discard way better despite being less straightforward in the gameplan. I find the plot one actually surprisingly good against control decks. They don't have the information about what you are discarding (or even if you are discading) when the spell is on stack and you can double it with more spells after that, giving you more space to play.

@pbbppbbp it's like having 2 more mana for the turn, control won't like you trying to cast several draw spells at once. You can try highway then double with another turn 3, even if opp try to stop you to draw it's harder when you have free spells.

before sneaky was printed I played rakdos madness with tomb raiders, it's still a valid choice, tomb raider makes the deck a lot more aggro and explosive and you will always have an artifact down, but it reduces the grind potential slightly, both versions are good for different reasons.

@@Eltharyon I keep thinking it’s kinda comparable to galvanic blast, while the artifact count required is much lower Like, if you hit in twice it did deal four damage, but most of the time it deals two kinda looking like galvanic blast to me

@@devangoad Yeah I agree, worst case scenario he's a shock, late game if he's useless you can always cycle him with something, unlike sneaky you can always cast it because it's on-color, but again, it depends on your preference and meta, rakdoss madness is open to many styles of play, right now I'm working on a version without artifacts (except the blood tokens) and it has been working great with the new 13th hp lands, much more consistent and way less susceptible to getting screwed by artifact hate as it often happens.

Yesss… Madness is AMAZING right now. I know this is Pauper but Madness + Psychic Frog is incredible as well. Faithless Looting in place of the Grab the Prize, Fiery Temper, Veins, plus the Basilisk that costs 0. Fun times!!!

Hello Mangu, can You explain me, why You didn't keep 1st hand in round 1 game 3? I thought it was not bad heand at al, you Was on draw. Have 2x eppicure and 1xbolt. 19 lands in deck left, what gives You in 3 draws a chance approx 28% for drawing land. It was t worth it

You're spending the first turns of the game saccing blood to try and find a land against monoR. Not fast enough and it's like going to 6 anyway cause you won't be able to cast your cards. Also missing a colour means you can't cast imp ever
