We travel with our dog, we are cautious but the dogs are mostly friendly when we feed them and they realise our dog isn't a threat to the food source or their group. It's a shame that there are so many strays in Türkiye, Greece, Bulgaria too.

We also found the dogs around the Balkans to be mostly friendly. The situation in Greece is much worse.

I have to say that I would never have thought that you would need to buy new vehicle insurance in a new country that you were in. These countries would benefit so much from being in the EU but that's a much bigger topic. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Safe Travelling.

For us this is just another extra bit of paperwork and cost, but considering that one is only able to get 3rd party insurance can be a big deal for many people who are used to comprehensive insurance. That's probably also why one doesn't see many fancy motorhomes in these places!

Being in the EU means the thousands of criminals would be able to legally enter your country and take over the drugs trade like they have done in the UK even though they're not legally allowed to be here. And a country has to have a certain amount of wealth to enter the EU otherwise the rich nations end up paying for them. Like the bailout for Greece which costs EU nations billions. Where do you think money comes from? Grow on trees or something?

Hi Tony. There are some serviced motorhome stops as well as the odd campsite where this can be done. You can use Park4Night to find them. We don't have black water as we replaced our cassette toilet with a composting / separating system.

Us too !!! These guys are so good at providing valuable information to people who might be thinking of visiting an area. Or in our case not thinking of....but now we are ! North Macedonia has been added to our wish-list of places to visit thanks to Andre and Lisa. I know that it takes time to record all of the boring stuff like costs etc. but it really does help others like ourselves. Many thanks guys, you are the best.
