If you're a college student my tip is make a big pot of a simple meal (like wholegrain pasta with tuna, spinach, spices, tomatoes, onion and any other veggies you have) and fridge or freezer it in tubs. When you're hungry take a bit out, reheat it over the fire, instead of snaking on junk. And if you mass-buy fruits, it'll be cheaper. Just freeze them and they'll last you a long time.

Also : -Potatoes are super underrated, they are filling and full of energy and they can be cooked in a million ways! -Rice is great too, instead of pasta and ramen. It has actual nutritional value and it's great as a side dish, in a salad and as a dish on its own if you throw in veggies (and meat if you want) and a sauce. I like to add soy//yakisoba sauce, mushrooms, corn, garlic powde, cumin, curry, paprika, pepper, maybe some chicken and scramble a couple of eggs in there and boom, complete meal!

Well, I tried the Pad Thai Ramen noodles, and... IT WAS BOMB!! I added a little less of the oil because I personally don't really like oil too much. Anyways, I garnished it with crushed peanuts and the green onions. IT WAS JUST SOOOO GOOD! I never thought making Pad Thai could be that easy. The best part was that I didn't even need to go out and buy the stuff. I just had the ingredients lying around in my kitchen. So, thanks for the awesome recipe. IT WAS BOMB!! *nuclear explosion sound effect* :)

For those of you saying the mac and cheeses isn't good to make it more authentic melt some butter add half of that amount in flour give it a stir and pop it back in the microwave for 20 second stir and then another 20 seconds then add 3 times the amount of butter you use in milk stir it up then pop it back in the microwave in 20-30 second intervals pop it out stir and pop it back in continue to do this till it is thick to test if it thick enough stick a spoon in it and run your finger along the back of the spoon if the line stays its good, add some salt and pepper and give it a taste if it still tastes floury put it back in the microwave, the add some cheese stir it up then stick it back in the microwave for 20 seconds or until the cheese is melted then mix it in with your noodles. It sounds like a lot of work, but if you want an authentic tasting mac and cheese this is the way to do it. Hope this was helpful :)

I have some tips for the broke people, that want to live with a budget of $48-$100My personal favorite is pasta with sliced hotdogs, i will slice or dice the hotdog, fry it on the pan and add what ever seasoning i want, if i have onions or garlic i add that too, put it over my spaghetti and add some ketchup to make it even better. And usually i only use 1-2 hotdogs so if i eat that for dinner a pack of 10 hot dogs last me a for a week, so 4 packs of hotdogs, and 2kg of pasta will last a month that's about $16 for a months dinner, breakfast i eat oats you can get 4kg of oats for like $2 that will last you more than a month, lunch i buy bulk chicken breast and slice one breast into 3-4 slices that i will then fry and put into my cheap bun add some mayo and lettuce and tomato there you go. I always fry several chicken pieces to go in the fridge so i can make a sandwich in seconds two of these and a glass off water usually fills me until dinner, if not i will eat an Apple to take the hunger. At a point i was so broke i ate the pasta and hotdogs 3 times a day and only used $48 a whole month on food. All of this can be done even cheaper if you shop at a dollar store or do like me, go to the butcher and ask if you can come and get some of the meat that is almost about to expire for cheap, since they throw it out anyway, take it home and freeze it and It will last forever, at a point i had over 10kgs og meat in my freezer, another delicious and very filling dish is mashed potatoes with bacon bits and soft onions on top, ketchup is optional. Potatoes are super cheap and are super filling. I have so many dishes i used to make in college but these are some of my favorites, and because of this cheap meal plan i had more money than most of the other student to spare and life wasent as miserable, if anyone need more recipies you are welcome to message me and i will help anyone that needs it, also try and buy some vitamin pills and omega 3 fish oil, because alot of student are deficient in most vitamins because they don't get everything they need due too their budget, good luck on your studies.

I do different ramen recipes all the time, and usually I add whatever I have that I wanna use up. Sometimes I also get those really cheap asian dry soup packs that you just add water to and I put the ramen in itto make it more filling. If I have any leftover type of meat I throw it in there and also mushrooms, corn and thinly sliced carrots/cabbage/zuccini/ whatever. You can do so many variations and it's really cheap and easy!

I'm still in high school, but in my AP world history class my teacher was talking about how in college you could have a healthy diet if you ate potatoes (in whatever form (mashed or baked are the healthiest), carrots, peanuts, and milk. They have all of the vitamins and protein you can get by on. They're also relatively cheap by themselves. Especially the carrots if you don't buy organic and the potatoes again if you don't buy a giant bag or buy them organic. Just throwing that out there for all you college kids

Parmesan cheese isn't vegetarian!
@Kaaarls168 жыл бұрын
vegetarian means you don't eat meat, so since when is parmesan cheese a meat product?
@EllaMaexo8 жыл бұрын
+Karla Quezada parmesan cheese contains rennet which is scrapings from inside a baby cows stomach, therefore it is not vegetarian as it contains meat from an animal.

I'm pretty sure she used vegan parmesan cheese. She said these were all vegan friendly so I'm assuming it's vegan parmesan cheese.

Yeah, homemade mac and cheese is made with a rue (and butter!), without it there isn't a sauce and it tastes kinda crappy.

I'm actually not moving into a dorm when I start school online but I will be moving in with roommates in a room where it has another room attached that I will be using as a living area. This will definitely help me out a lot when I move and not rely on just soups and rice.👌
