@ellieblossom86613 жыл бұрын
Beautiful style and great video 💖. This is the correct technique and process to achieve these Hollywood waves. She's using a controlled heat setting on the straightener to not burn the hair and the curler won't be frying pan hot to get the curls. The key element is letting the curls cool down which is why she pins them. The hairspray is used correctly, at the roots and then throughout whilst styling the curls in place. She also uses it at a distance and not directly on the hair The mannequin has perfect hair, nice density, length and no damage so ofc it comes out this way. To achieve this on a real person you will need to carry out a detailed consultation to look at the clients hair. Preparing is key, maybe the client needs a conditioning treatment, haircut, maybe even add hair extensions to give volume. This style can definitely be achieved to this high level using the technique in this video. I love it and I'm super impressed 🔔 💕.

Do you normally straighten too get all frizz out when you do this style?
@ladyNorml3 жыл бұрын
@@lasenoritacometa1977 I wondered as well my hair is pretty wavy naturally and holds curl till I wash it out and still have some left...I can literally curl my hair with my fingers... but if I straighten it first .... ugh no waaaaay. It won't do anything but stay straight until I get humidity. I have a Bob rn I cut my hair myself. And I have to blow dry straight then straighten with iron to get it smooth and super straight. It's a lot of work. But wow this is far worse. The grabbing at the root bothered me as well. As Client I'd be pissed my hair was being pulled as well as damaging from grabbing with the iron pulling strands. I'm not understanding that technique and I did take a first class for cosmetology. (Dropped out bc my teacher was super snooty if you weren't in the clique she hated you) but I did take the first half of the courses Btw I'm not saying by any means this isn't amazing work or that I could do better... I'm just wondering why the pulling and straightening. Everyone has their own techniques.
@1savdsoul4393 жыл бұрын
Beautiful on the mannequin. If you do this on your hair, DO NOT apply heat 3x!!! You will burn your hair!! Just curl it with a heat protectant that has hold like hairspray. Clip it until it has cooled completely. The back combing should be gentle too. Shampoo this style out or be very gentle combing it out. Don’t rip through the hairspray and back combing. Be kind to your hair!! Mannequin hair is usually made from strong asian hair that has been bleached. It tolerates heat well and tends to be straight. Straight hair has a round shaft which lends to its strength.
@nooa693 жыл бұрын
Exactly. The amount of heat was excessive.

This is what I do when I go swing dancing. It's actually very quick. I don't straighten first with the flat iron bc that actually prevents the hair from curl volume so it's counterintuitive. You don't need to be quite as meticulous in the afterplacement. You just need a bristle brush to comb through the curls gently (look at old pincurl tutorials and you will see what I mean)- apply a balm to roots and any babyhairs- then hairspray. Done. I sometimes put alligator clips in the S wave in the front on my drive to the location. It takes 10 minutes. I let it set for 30 while I do makeup. Easy.

Be sure to stimulate your scalp gently when you brush your hair. It will encourage new hair growth and prevent product build up on your scalp. When new clients with damaged, color treated hair would come to me these were some of the things their hair dressers didn’t know to tell them. I studied hair loss because it was a problem I suffered from. I still fight it but now my hair is down to my waist even though it is very light blonde. I also wrap it into a bun every night with screw pins. They don’t leave dents in the hair like regular hair pins and your hair has a beautiful wave the next day with no heat. Hope this helps you. Have a blessed week!

This is what our grandmothers referred to as, "going to the hair dresser's to get my hair 'set'." This needed to be done in a salon by a professional & is a completely lost art because today's women wouldn't stand for the time & money it costs to go twice a week to haven't his done. My mother used to go every Wednesday & Saturday to either have this done or to get her hair put up in a REAL french twist, & she was GORGEOUS - taught me everything I know about liquid eye liner, penciled-in eye brows & false eye lashes. She wouldn't even run to the grocery store without full make-up.

Наталья, а почему и для чего такой алгоритм действий, особенно на затылке? Выпрямить, прогофрировать, накрутить?
@idameier98193 жыл бұрын
