Dude would kill it in this league. A truly positionless player with killer offensive and defensive instincts.
@bryant475
@bryant475 2 жыл бұрын
@@dostacos1 Yep, he's the only player ever to lead the league in blocks as a SF, and average over 3 blocks a game twice in his career, and the shortest player at 6'9 (other than Ben Wallace) to do both! He's also the only player ever to finish a season top 4 in both Steals and Blocks. He and Hakeem Olajuwon are the only players ever to have more than 1 5x5 game in his career, he had 3 and Olajuwon had 6! Not to mention his passing ability, decent mid range and 3 point shot, athleticism, hustle and instinct for the game. Definitely one of the most underrated players ever!

@@bryant475 APlus only he and Hakeem had 5×6, but AK without any OT against Hakeem's two Also NO ONE in NBA history haven't better numbers in each career P.R.A.B.S. per game categories than AK-47 And only 7 got better numbers overall in each other, but they played much more games Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kevin Garnett, Patrick Ewing, Robert Parish, David Robinson and Vlade Divac
@bryant475

@@lightDaRus Yes very true! How was that PRABS number calculated? Was a specific value assigned to each category? In my yahoo fantasy basketball for example- Blk and Stl are 3 points each. Ast are 1.5, Reb 1.2, Pts are 1 each. As you can see, AK47 was a beast in fantasy points! He was usually my 2nd or 3rd pick!

But at least we can play with them in the Jazz All time team :) I actually am playing a season with the All Time players, but with fantasy draft so they are all scattered on different teams. He was great, he singlehandedly was nearly the difference between the Jazz winning 42 games (and nearly making the playoffs in a stacked West) and that team being 2012 Bobcats bad. He was only great for 2-3 seasons, especially that 04 season, so you can say he only had a 'good' career overall, but prime AK was legit great.

One of those players that's a bit underrated due to his era. He was a bit lazy during what should have been his prime, especially once he had decent teammates around him, but that 04 season was something else. He posted some all-time +/- numbers, he led that team to a winning record and one game short of a playoff spot (West was so stacked back then), but without him they were literally one of the worst teams of all time, and he was only like 22. He was still elite for several years afterwards when he was averaging like 3+ blocks a game, but then he got a huge contract, the Jazz were good, but dysfunctional, and he just kinda checked out. Don't get me wrong, even during those Deron Williams years, he was a valuable player, elevating the team's D especially, but he wasn't well-utilized and he really didn't seem to care as much, allegedly playing WoW until the wee hours of the morning, even before day games. Despite being in what should've been his prime, his BLK% halved. Would've been nice to see him on a team like the Spurs instead, like just imagine the 04 Spurs with Duncan, Bowen and AK lmao.

His skill repertoire is like a combo of Jokic and Giannis. Great passing instinct, running the fast break and defending was his best set of skills. Certainly not as accomplished a player as the two, but I think in today's NBA he would have had a place in one of the All-NBA teams. He is 1st team all-Defense for sure, but I think he would have made it at least in 3rd team All-NBA as well.
