Coinbase has your bitcoin in their pockets, they allow you to access it. If they go bankrupt or disappear then you won't be able to get it. Personally I don't think there is anything wrong because coinbase is an American publicly traded company

Thanks for the educative video I'm so glad to share my experience here. I first got into BTC back in 2019 and I was hodling/buying sats at different price points. but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 170k and I’m up with 560k in a short period of time all thanks to Laura Brockman.

Ok, I found the answer and it does. A "secret wallet" is just a password to access your Trezor, Ledger, etc. Not sure why they have to complicate things by calling it a "secret wallet". It's just the password to your device. That's it. Much like you have a password to get on your computer or phone.

Not recommended if you live in a natural disaster prone area. Fires, floods, or tornadoes can all destroy a bank property.

3:38 I'm a daily options trader and you are incorrect / misspoke when discussing covered calls. If the price of the underlying asset exceeds your strike price, you do NOT lose your asset for less than it's price today. You capture all the upside up until your strike price and don't get any appreciation beyond that. You are correct that owning a Bitcoin ETF is 100% not the same as owning actual bitcoin on the blockchain. Definitely recommend owning your Bitcoin in cold storage on a Ledger or equivalent hardware wallet.

Calls aren't available for at least the Grayscale ETFs, but they do appear to be available on some of the smaller ones on at least Fidelity. My point is that it really doesn't seem like most would even have the ability to sell Covered Calls on these Crypto ETFs.

YES! Especially if it's on Coinbase. They are the custodian to Billions worth of BTC (holding for almost all ETFs and Microstrategy) and are the biggest honeypot for hackers to attack. It's just good practice to take control of your own money. If it's gone, it's never coming back.

The biggest concern with Coinbase isn’t being hacked as they store most of their crypto in cold storage. The biggest concern is that they confiscate your coins for some reason or another. They are basically the government as they will do whatever the government makes them do. Remember what happened with gold in 1971? It was effectively confiscated from civilians. Not your keys, not your coins.
