"Game 7" - A Hockey Documentary (June 15th, 2011 in Vancouver)

This vid is just a quick look at 24 hours throughout the day of game 7 between the Vancouver Canucks and the Boston Bruins. With the goal to capture the love of hockey in Vancouver and the energy of the fans, I had no idea that my documentary would twist into capturing the city's social problems.

I wasn't in the city/country for the playoff run, but watched most games online. You did a fantastic job filming the excitement of the people. It's just such a shame all the positive energy that this event created in the city was completely erased within a few hours by a bunch of sore losers/misguided youth. It's pretty tragic actually.

Ever since June 15th 2011 I haven't been able to look at my city the same. I thought I lived in a great city with not as many low life's, this day proved otherwise. To be honest I don't watch hockey anymore, the reason was a bit of just being bored of it after watching every game from 2003-2013. And I was more into other things anyways like wrestling, video games, basketball ETC. But anyway back to the point, this day was the beginning of the end of my trust in society. Will never ever forgive my city for this. Very glad I moved on. Which is what Canucks fans should've done right after they lost. Instead of riot.
