Ouvi no dia 31 de Dezembro Amira Willighagen a cantar esta tema foi divinal a sua interpretação a sua voz tem um alcance poderoso como poucas sopranos têm com apenas 19 anos imagino quando chegar á idade da Donis Van Doorn que tambem adoro ouvir a sua voz. when I first heard this I didn't really follow the Italian and found the melody very moving, especially between second and third verses but now I find myself playing it over and over again of course sometimes listen to my compatriot Kiri Te Kanawa's elegant interpretation

I'm italian. The last 'acuto' doesn't exist in the opera of Alfredo Catalani. It's an incredible, terrible mistake. Wally is sad, has decided of killing herself! This soprano has not understood nothing of this masterpiece.

Magari sono anche stonati! Nonostante la diliuazione artistica e culturale in Italia risultato dall'immigrazione di culture diverse, penso, o per lo meno spero che il patrimonio artistico, in cui la musica classica e cosi importante continuera a essere nel DNA del popolo italiano. Non per niente la nomenclatura musicale e in italiano, le opere piu famose sono in italiano, quasi tutte le opere di Mozart sono in italiano. Forse c'e ancora speranza.

Un minuscolo criticismo e che non ha cantato l'ultimo brano, che e a basso registro, so benissimo che ness'un altra soprano la canta, ma La Tebaldi la include nel CD. Per me e molto importante, perche mostra la intera qualita della voce. Certo che un'aria che finisce con una note alta da piu emozione, e forse per questo, il maestro, non lo avra incluso, dopo tutto lui e non solo un artista ma anche un show man.

Ja, allerdings, diese Lady ist wohl nicht von dieser Welt. - Die Handlung betr. "Geierwally" ist übrigens auch sehr interessant, dann versteht man die Komposition dieser Arie noch besser. Es handelt sich schließlich um ein Drama in Opernform.

I am Italian, and I will never stop feeling sorry for this unjust oblivion. My great compatriot Catalani is in fact remembered (including Italy) only for this wonderful song. But there is more he composed, both as an opera and as an instrumental (graduated from the Milan Conservatory, he also wrote pieces for piano and chamber music). RIP great musical poet, who passed away too soon in 1893, aged just 39.
