I legitimately cannot handle the beauty he captures in his music

It grabbed me so hard when heard for the first time during ep 1 season 2 OitnB. I am on my third listen. Nothing cliched to say, except I love it.

I do love how he reuses phrases just because they have a lyrical element to it, i.e., fatal shore.

Beautiful! How could I sit still? mmm.. loved it! Silly funny, I was born at Pulaski Memorial Hospital.. too bad it wasn't in Chicago.

I'm so grateful to you for posting this. I was at the performance and I've had this in my head ever since. I think I've watched this at least five times in the last 2 days. I can't wait until his next album!! Yay for sitting in the NAVE!! thank you!!

I was there as well! He also references Pulaski at Night in the song "Cock o the Walk" from his Thrills album when he was with Bowl of Fire!

I grew up about 3 blocks east of Pulaski and there really isn't much today to do at night on Pulaski. Decades ago it had the Milford Ballroom (Pulaski used to be named Crawford) but that's really about it. Nice song but it really doesn't reflect Pulaski at night.

Yes, nice song. Is it possible it is a reflection in his mind? Sometimes reflections of reality can be quite different, even for people living in the same neighborhood. For example, if you've just fallen in love, or you lost your job.

I’m pretty sure the whole point was he said he couldn’t imagine anyone ever wanting to go to Pulaski at night; it’s somewhat ironic! Also I think the song as a whole reflects a version of the sad divide in modern Chicago

That's cool. I think the start of the song sounded similar to You Woke Me Up! off of Useless creatures and changes to a new and magnificent melody.

I dunno where he's been but there's plenty of loveliness along Pulaski... the "castle" at the opening of the Bohemian National Cemetery, Gompers Park, the incredibly diverse working class ethnic neighborhood Albany Park (where Arun is building the new Thai Town Center).
