I like how Andrew answers every question as if his life depended on it... really honest and humble

I think it was a great interview! He seems genuinely very nice and you can tell that he just lives and breathes music. I think it's amazing how well he understands it, he doesn't need to have notes in front of him or compose on paper or anything, he just gets it. Very cool guy!

This was a fantastic interview. A thorough and intellectual Q&A.

When I was 7, Andrew Bird did a live show at my school. I had no clue who he was until a couple years ago, when I started actually listening to him.

Typical?!! This is one of the more well-versed and calculated interviewers I've ever seen. He's very atypical to me.

Jeremy Ylvisaker actually has a really great sense of humor and is a brilliant musician. Maybe you caught him on a bad night? You should check out the Fitz and Dizzyspells video - he's wearing a knitted unicorn sweater. He's quite a card.

I think Mr. Bird can't help but sound a bit over our heads, as he really does work (musically) on a very different level than most people. His drive for musical perfection combined with his amazing talent makes him something very different from the rank and file of musicians. Not to detract from other musicians, though. He just seems to stand on his own musically. He seems to be a bit out of sorts - personally he seems to be pretty shy and reserved.

Chorus after same chorus bores me. Therefore, I love this guy.

Andrew is just like me, aside from his first name. I play music through ear mostly. I can read, but I learn and play better by ear. I play drums btw.
