It is wildly different when someone sees the contestants on a show, gives them honest feedback, and genuinely wants them to succeed. Andrew is one of the few judges that appeared on shows that makes me happy. What a gent.

Agreed! But I would also say the vast majority of guest judges on the UK seasons have been very funny and engaged, giving great constructive advice. Can’t say the same for the American seasons.

WE'RE ALLIES!!!!" and then showing a half-assed background character that's hinted to be LGBT. As a bisexual woman, I'm tired of false promises of representation. The company will always put profit first, making the most widely sellable (idk if that phrase is correct, English is not my first language) movie they can, so that it can be shown in homophobic markets like China or Russia. But again, I really really wish you are right and they do introduce a worthy bi-spidey.

The best kind of judge is one who truly participates the way that he did, not just that "Hi Ru, slay, ok'rrr, vogue-yes-the-house-down-mama-boots" thing that some of them do. He saw them as true performance artists and gave them feedback as such. It was beautiful to watch.

I served Andrew twice. A few years apart and different bars, the second time I was a bartender at a restaurant in North London. As he was going to the toilet we clock each other he comes over and remembers my fucking name from two years ago, then requests the cocktail I had made him the last time, ended up chatting for 5 minutes then he remembered he needed to pee. Also gave a £50 tip for the meal (the whole meal was £130) and gave me a £20 tip personally. The nicest most down to earth man ever!
