I say, blame writing and directing. Troy was so bland that he made a plain white tshirt look exciting, but I don't think it was Andrew's fault. He seems like the type who would be BEGGING for more because I would assume he was also outrageously bored, buuuut NOPE! Tzachor was such a blight on the season, and I'm so glad he was canned. It's like he was all "Wow, robots and lasers are so cool! More of that! Mighty Morphin was great! More of that! Character? Pfft BO-RING!" Like a damn child. I like the whole "Troy was a chosen Ranger/ connected to the Morphing Grid itself" thing because at least it's different. Troy is just Jason Lee Scott Light, and just ugh. Andrew Gray on the other hand, looks like a really cool guy. Kinda spontaneous. Might play pranks on the cast and crew. I dig that

he's a pretty cool guy. Power Ranger acting wise he's not that great his character wasn't that great of a leader, I get it if he's your favorite on the show but he would literally give up at times which is not the actors fault it's the writers fault for making him such a weak leader, here's an example: team would get captured by the villains and instead of thinking of a plan to escape, he would literally take that time to reflect on the group... literally get captured and 2 minutes later be like it was an honor serving with you, like if they were about to die. instead of thinking of a plan to escape I'm sorry but his character was a sad excuse for a leader. and the sad thing is it happened more than once. and if the actor Ever reads this... your character should not have been the leader he should have been any other color but red if I was directing Power Rangers for your season I would have put you as the Sixth Ranger and have Orion be the Red Ranger. (that's just my opinion)

as you said it was the writers fault I'm sure if they were given more to work with and I saw an interview and the cast did try to get more done with their characters but............I guess the writers were like nope this is how things go so................yea power rangers need some better writers or better ways to make characters more interesting like in jungle fury or time force.
