Andrew Krakouer - The Foot Candy Specialist

Andrew Krakouer makes the obvious not look so obvious! Krakouer has shown an amazing ability to "sell candy" to his opponents and as such, this video has been produced and dedicated with the "candy" theme in mind wardle.
Andrew Krakouer is the son of Jim Krakouer and nephew of Phil Krakouer, and was initially drafted with the 41st selection in the 2000 AFL Draft by Richmond. However Krakouer, along with his brother Tyrone, was charged and subsequently jailed over an assault causing grievous bodily harm in 2006 after an incident in Fremantle, Western Australia. This led to Krakouer being delisted by the Tigers in 2007.
Krakouer was released from prison on parole in August 2009, and signed on to play the 2010 football season for Swan Districts in the WAFL. He performed very well for Swans, winning the 2010 Sandover Medal as the fairest and best player in the WAFL. He won the Simpson Medal as the best on ground in the Swans' one-point win against Claremont in the WAFL Grand Final, after amassing 42 disposals and kicking four goals, including the game-winning goal in the 33rd minute of the final quarter. A special analysis of the game showed that Krakouer would have polled 290 Champion Data ranking points (Supercoach points) in the game, more than any player has ever polled in an AFL game since the statistical technique was first implemented in 2004.
On 7 October 2010, Collingwood signed Krakouer after the newly established Gold Coast agreed to pre-list and trade him as one of its ten uncontracted players to Collingwood in exchange for its first round selection in the 2010 AFL Draft (pick #25 overall).

Almost 10 years later and I still marvel at this legend's skills. Meeting the team at the Gabba (2011 I think) I asked why he went from #4 to #7 instead of #47. He asked me why I would say that, I replied then we could call you "AK-47" (given his initials). He walked away laughing then turned and came back to me, pointed at me and said that was gold and he loved it. :o)

If only we'd had a couple of great effective tall forwards like Cloke & Dawes over the last 5 years, we'd have more success. And whst a great utility Leigh Brown was. I was disappointed that Krakouer, Dick, L Davis & Anthony didn't have longer careers at the club. Anthony was very accurate.

It is hard to imagine that they were that bloody stupid. It beggars belief that if they did nothing was ever said until now. If he is making this up and it hurts the club that picked him up after being in jail for serious violent crimes then he is a disgrace
