Of course! Many here in America are fighting against it, even those who are not Christians. God Created man with Intelligence and a heart of understanding. You don't have to be Religious to have Values, Morals and Ethics. I've met non Religious folk who very well may be in better of Allah's sight than those professing to be of a particular "Religion". As a Believer in Islam I can honestly say I've had non Muslims and even Hindus treat me and mine better than muslims have treated us.

Having dog is forbidden but depends on certain Muslims cause we had main 4different mazhab..cause in Islam we have rules..but for us Muslims it forbidden n sin to abandon your parents especially placing them at the old folks home care..n it doesn't make sense having a pet more important than having your own parents..but what I understand is for them having pet makes their life more easier n less burden less stress than having old folks or children living in your own house..that what I understand from their mindsets.. which endup most of them killed their children n parents on purpose..cause to reduce their stress n burden to get freedom n enjoyed

@SomeCrackhead - there are also now many examples of Westerners themselves speaking up against the press and general attitude. For example John Barnes. There was also a short tictok from the Captain of France's World Cup team who said that we should respect the Qatar hosts ways and so he would not wear the band. This was a few days before the start of the games. There are even a few YT videos in fans who have said how their perceptions have changed from what they were excepting because of what they had seen and heard. There was a short article in an English newspaper about a woman football fan who had traveled with her father expecting harassment at the matches saying it was a good idea to ban alcohol as the games were about enjoying football and the atmosphere was much better and less aggressive. So plenty of examples to show that it was correct for Qatar to stand firm and not give in.

Just to show how clear the hypocrisy is. The other day when that guy run on the pitch with the rainbow flag. You should have seen the newspapers here in Norway. The guy was put on front page right away and was regarded a hero, and the other day when the same thing happened but the man that ran on the pitch had a Palestinian flag on him. I speak to my school bus driver everyday about issues that we face everyday. she isn't Muslim, but she agrees with some of the things that Islam teaches. although, today I talked to her about the situation in qatar with the lgbtq situation. although she agrees about the fact that we respect other people's cultures when we go to their countries as though we go into their own home. but then when I talked about the fact that the lgbtq community has gotten to the point that they force their own beliefs on others. but she then brings up an argument which I found ridiculous. which was that movies and TV shows have been showing straight people and how they are in relationships, so straight people have been propergating their own agenda. so it's time for gay couples to do the same. i just didn't find the logic in that.

Well she should realize without straight people she wouldn’t exist. The problem in her point is the assumption that homosexual and heterosexual relationships are equal in terms of value to mankind. When a certain lifestyle contrary to the norm is shown to have increased sexual diseases , mental health issues and inability to reproduce to sustain humanity. Why would such a lifestyle that inherently has these problems dangerous to our survival as a species deserve to be propagated on a mass scale ?
