If you are concerned about the amount of power that social media platforms have on us, then I encourage you to delete your accounts on the platforms you don't like. As an individual in what way do you have more power? Are you powerful when you get banned? Or are you powerful when you delete your own accounts on your own accord? If all of Tate's followers deleted their Meta accounts that would be a much bigger message to the company than people using the platforms to talk about Tate. Action speaks louder than words. I deleted my Instagram and Facebook 9 months ago. Move to platforms that aren't trying to exert control over us. So far my favourite new platform that I've been using is called Vero.

The problem with the big names though is that they are afraid of losing their audiences by moving to different platform. So don't wait for them to make the move first. If we the audience start to move then the big names will notice. For example look at TikTok. Smaller creators and audiences started using TikTok first and then the big creators realized that they had an audience there so they started to use the platform.

I don't think it would work too well going back now. It's become too engrained into our way of life. Saying that though, I literally only use Facebook for the private groups function. And the only other social app I use is Instagram, because I'm.a photographer. Don't use tik tok, Twitter etc etc.... Not impossible I guess. First of all the reason isn't even all that relevant what matters is that it did happen, that there's a large group of people that not only agree but also encourage deplatforming & silencing people as a whole because their opinion is that "their dangerous" (which could be applied to absolutely anyone and is nothing more then an excuse of you being afraid of the truth) Which brings me to my second point exactly...
