There was a guy who used to debunk all sorts of this type of stuff his name was the amazing randy or something like that and he had a reward for anyone who could prove they have any sort of powers or abilities like witchcraft and psychic powers and i think it got up around a million dollars or something crazy that he offered for a reward and wouldnt you know it, not a single person ever proved they had powers or psychic abilities of any kind ever.
@anothercat13002 ай бұрын
That doesn't really prove anything other than some people aren't greedy. Lol. The occult is full of instances that defy explanation. But that doesn't really matter. What matters more is the fruit. What results from getting into such things? In my opinion it's insanity. Lol. Generally speaking though, when people get into the occult they get this feeling of invisibility and can commune with dark things that would rather see this person believe they can use Psychic abilities than to actually give him such things. The thing about the occult is that it's more like novelty seeking, only you're attempting to connect with powers that are beyond a person's control or ability to fully understand. That's why a lot of these people go insane. Just read about Allister Crowley's "Scarlet women". It's horrible. In the Orthodox Church, there are plenty of instances that defy explanation too. People are able to have spiritual gifts. There's some who pray without ceasing in the mountains and can do incredible things. But these kinds of people see a million dollars as garbage to throw away and consider the act of loving another more profound than any other spiritual gift.

Based on my research into the occult practices it’s possible that occult procedures alter the quantum state of perceived reality. It’s fascinating to see the parallel between the sacraments performed in the church and some of the rituals performed by occultists. These processes share very similar structures, identical in places. The consecration of the Eucharist is part for part a conjuration ritual where a deity is tasked with transforming the host and wine. It even tastes different afterwards as a result of the meddling in quantum reality that occurs.

I did some tarot reading myself, and it worked quite well. I have some background in the occult field, but also in science, which is why I was very critical in forming my opinion. According to Seraphim Rose, what could happen is that tarot reading and mediumistic channeling works by drawing in lesser demons who do a service for you, making you prideful and leading you away from God. They call it "prelest" (Andrew has mentioned prelest before, but in a different context). Demons, as agents of chaos and confusion, draw you in by helping you succeed, and then they mislead you. There are many stories about this in the Orthodox field. Of course, Andrew is also correct with his idea of self-manipulation. But like I said, I have done some shockingly accurate tarot readings myself. Needless to say, I stopped doing it. And I don't really miss it.
@Pauliex332 ай бұрын

Andrew is Orthodox, and during the orthodoxy I'm Russia for instance you would have had to search hard to find someone practicing witchcraft.
@LupinGaius-ls1or8 күн бұрын
@@icenine135 Right, but that's kinda the point. Catholic Spain, the eastern lands of the Empire, areas of France and Germany that remain predominantly Catholic, Like the Orthodox, basically saw witchcraft as superstition with no power. Now some of the accused dealt in poisons (Note, many men were accused of being werewolves which often correlated with claims of cannibalism or murder) but the rate of people being accused, let alone executed, were very low.
@Anthony-wp9wl2 ай бұрын
There is certainly a lot of suggestion involved with occult practices. The scriptures indicate that demons do have a limited amount of power though. So Andrew's position isn't complete. When Aaron throws down his staff before Pharaoh it turns into a snake. Pharaoh's occult guys do the same thing. It's just that Aaron's snake eats the others. I take the Word literally, and so we can't say they didn't have some power, it was just limited, and subject to God. It says later in Exodus 12:12 "against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord". So God wasn't just judging Pharaoh and Egypt, but the gods (the demons behind those deities) of the Egyptians. They were running amuck in that society and God showed them powerless before Him, but clearly not without some limited power. I think we treat those ancient people like some stupid sun worshippers but I think the more consistent position with God's Word is that demons operated through those deities. If their sorcerers and magicians could turn their staffs into snakes then it's reasonable that other such supernatural occurrences were happening. To whatever degree I don't know, but I think Andrew's position of it all being total baloney isn't consistent with scripture. I wouldn't doubt that a lot of what goes on in occult practices is baloney, but the potential is there.

@@serikazero128God condemns witchcraft on numerous occasions in the Bible (2 Chronicles 33:6, Leviticus 19:31, Revelation 21:8, Galatians 5:19-20). In Genesis Adam and Eve were punished for biting from the “tree of knowledge of good and evil”. Clearly God does not want us to manifest our own selfish will into existence. We as Christians are supposed to submit to God’s will above all else. That’s not to say that we can’t ask God for things, but sometimes the answer to our prayers is “no”. If we pray for something and don’t receive it, that doesn’t mean we should take matters into our own hands and attempt to twist reality to our will. We should work hard for what we want, but if it is not God’s will then we need to accept it. Also, humans have been instruments in God’s miracles. That doesn’t mean that we can become “like God”, only that we were gifted the chance to be used for God’s will. Andrew the only issue with your takes are that the actual living words of Jesus do not subscribe to Jewish law which is what the majority of the Bible references when prescribing any specific behaviors. You've been doing this quite a bit but eventually someone is going to call you out on it and I'm curious as to what your response will be. When you quote the Bible, you're quoting specific Jewish laws and not even uniform Jewish laws because there were sects of Jews that practice their own specific Judaism within their own communities because not only was it religious, it was also a traditional custom so it almost has the same kind of a rule like the federal and state governments. So not every Jewish sect had the same laws 100%. Yeah they adhere to the basic stuff but there were still some things that some Jewish communities did that other communities didn't. So I would just be careful when you're debating people because they tend to not bring up the fact that what you're referring to in the Bible when it comes to commandments and rules are actually specific to Jewish customs and Jesus specifically taught that you can accept all traditions and one does not solely have to adhere to Jewish law. You should have known that eventually your fans were going to Joe Rogan your tactics. And I say this because I honestly want your arguments to be foolproof because you're my canary in a coal mine.

🤦♂️ vegvisir... This is the problem, from a New Age perspective, the world's various spiritual traditions, practices and imageries are now public property and no longer the expressions of any given peoples. Because of this open availability process, the sacred becomes commodified, the general argument allows that it can be bought, sold, traded, picked apart and thus consumed according to basic free-market principles. Over the years, social media and new age pagan websites have done everything in there power to popularize and monetize new age spirituality, bringing in a new generation of witches, spiritualists and heathens. This has been done specifically for profit, and is now in the process of creating multiple generations of people without any understanding of what they're actually doing. People who practice any type of paganistic spirituality, such as wicca and heathenry should and need to be aware of the origins of their practices. By learning the traditions that new age paganism is built upon, we can create a far deeper connection with those spiritual practices. New age is not “love and light,” love and light is basically a term created to cover up the whitewashing of many different spiritualities into some strange unrecognizable destructive mess. And now that people have social media such as Facebook and TikTok to document practices and share beliefs it's increasingly plain to see such things take place. facebook.com/share/p/zwJUpaPtVVpUKjTL/?mibextid=xfxF2i

The placebo effect is huge in all things. From people getting pain relief from sugar pills when told they are actual pain killers. It holds that fuckwits would think spirituality would explain this garbage. I am also Christian and find it funny that people think God isn't real but their hockus pokus mambajahamba is.

Gotta love how Andrew beats up witchcraft for the silliness of the belief, yet he believes in an all-powerful, all-knowing invisible man in the sky. Hilarious how he cannot see the disconnect here.

@@RaxxedOut43 imagine being an adult and so ridiculously dumb to believe in imaginary invisible men who rule the universe. You’d think those people would grow up and stop perpetuating such stupid fairy tale nonsense.

"Invisible man in the sky" That's not god, you don't even understand what you're mocking
@porkypies87342 ай бұрын
@@1111Tactical Totally understand what I am mocking. An invisible deity that the those with simple minds worship. But then those same simpletons will make fun of other people's beliefs because they think they are silly. Yet, they are too stupid to realize that their own beliefs require this thing called "faith" to believe that some all powerful god in the sky, whom no one can see or speak to, exists and is the ruler of all. Morons.

@Pauliex33 so ridiculous shit is no longer ridiculous if spread over millions and billions of years? That's also conveniently such an absurdly.Long time frame that you can't be expected to produce direct evidence. Something does not come out of nothing randomly out of chance.
