It seems to me as a collector and long time investor just seems easier in this day and age to buy the psa 10s you want and put them in the safe rather than hoping for luck on an expensive box and trying to get them before selling out to boot, then the long wait and expensive process of psa grading along with hoping to get lucky on the grades.Its cheaper and no luck needed versus missing out on the fun of getting a hit but it is what is is .

You're right, people don't even want 90% of the cards, they just want the flashy big name inserts. it's a serious waste. There's nothing like the feeling of opening packs though.

This 500$ box is a perfect example of why I just buy a $500 single card instead. I know what I want and know what I'm getting for my 500$ . If I want to gamble I'll go to the casino where I have better odds.

Because people are willing to pay way too much for cardboard, we all actual collectors have to pay. Thank you!!!! To justify $75 generously in cards and $500 per box is nuts. At the rate it's going Vegas has better odds.

The breaker does fine its the dummy who buys over priced teams to maybe, but probably not get a top auto. It's like hitting the lottery. Sometimes it almost seems recently that top rookies are flooded in hobby and increased in retail. It might become another junk era at this point? Greed of panini and the greed of the flipper and the breaker is bringing it back down. They buy it up and become the middle man. Can't get the fix without them. Panini sees that they can raise the price from the peddlers who have made fortunes off of their product. Not good for those in it to collect, what it's for.

Breakers buy cases on the cheap, preordered, some get dealer discounts as well (pretend a box costs them $100). When the product finally hits the shelves its already increased in price ($130-140). They then charge per team or random draw, usually totalling $150-160/box if you add up all the entries. Then they break, easily making 50+% on initial investment, with the illusion of only a small mark up. Winner winner chicken dinner.

@@rickmather7062 breakers are breaking the hobby. Soon it will be the junk 20s era. Over produced and over priced. Because of secondary market the card makers have raised prices way up, and then the breakers raise it up more. Let's not get on to flippers. Buying up retail and selling it way high. Stealing from children basically. Now is the time to get out.
