New Champion Kasumi Feels WEIRD! - Paladins Kasumi Gameplay

Kasumi reminds me of Skye in a lot of ways. She could dominate lower levels of players who don’t know how to duel or dodge her traps, etc. However, the better people get at that, understanding her, etc. the worse she’ll feel. At most she’ll feel mid when both teams are on top of their game from what I’ve experienced.

I have been enjoying Kasumi. I use her body and soul to peek corners not so much for escape unless you want to move to another side to flank. The mines i increased the cool down so that I can drop them at possible counter flank points. I also added healing 5 for after body and soul ends and increase damage reduction when out of body. Also I wish that her jump was a little higher. Overall I'm impressed with her. Thanks for uploading AC 💯

wow the traps are visible like 3 times the distance it should be. You don't even need iluminate. They should decrease the distance at which traps are visible. besides inverting the controls of the dash, they should make the dash more a dmg tool. Like connecting the body and soul with a line, and all enemies in the line take dmg when the ability ends/recasts

I feel like she's more of a counter flank than damage because you can use her traps and put it to where flankers mostly go and chase other flanks. The bad about the trap though is that the explosion is way too small, and the trigger range is bigger than the explosion range that if you miss at least half a second when a trap gets triggered, the enemy is already out of range even with slow moving champions like what happened in 17:38. Or the trap is bugged or janked that's why it doesn't work properly XD. For now, the trap is good to use in the middle of a team fight, if you can properly use it.

Question: let’s say Kasumi is the only one alive in her team and she wants to go for overtime touch so the team has time to get to the point, will she be able to do that with her movement ability? if yes, that would be great since in her ghostly presence she can’t take damage. for example: she hides behind a wall, uses her soul-leaves-body ability and gets on point, does it count for the overtime touch or not?

It does, because her ethereal body is now the champion and the remanent is a deployable, similar to Imani

Whenever I invite friends to play Paladins, the answer is all the same "never heard of it... what type of game is it?". These people are the type of people to love it too... advertising is actually important, who knew?

Honestly I think paladins will be fine. The dip in players happened the last time overwatch came around and paladin survived it. Let's not forget this is the same overwatch balance team so they will eventually start ruining their game again which will drive people to paladins like it did myself in many others.

Already experiencing it. Most champs are useless or extremely niche. The MM feels the same as paladins at times. People will be back once they are tired of getting pooped on and want to play characters in more than one way.

They could fix her F that you dont can phase back to your starting point,, but instead drop a trap at the start of your phasing and you should be able to end the phasing by hitting F again, ,, you got best reults with here using F to get in the enemy back lines and peekaboo stab ppl. going max tear cd and dmg..

Yo Andrew I'm starting to get back into paladins I wish I could play again but I can't right now cuz I have no TV cuz my brother broke it but that doesn't matter what is your main cuz my main is andruxus or the first one I had those good with was the person that had a sniper that it charges up but I swapped to andruxus but I remember correctly the last year they got added before I stopped playing was the fox girl when she was added or the twin dragons whichever one came last between those two or maybe the one after no it is the attack angel/Valkyrie that so if you recommend a hero for people getting back into the game what would it be and I started watching yesterday and I already like your content keep up the great work

She feels just simply unfun to go against. Her kit is odd and weird to play and mostly boring for me but facing her as like a Maeve or Evie is just painful because you try to blink or pounce and she just slightly rotates her camera and the damage output doesn't change. She just sucks fun out of the game honestly.

Her auto-aim sensitivity to me is not an issue, but I believe she has a bit too much utility at her disposal, making her survivability fairly high, and as most are already aware, high burst. I feel like her roles should have been switched to Flank, lowering her health pool maybe to Evie's HP, or even 1900. Her ult is useful, her talents are very useful( her healing one being the weakest I feel), her primary attacks are untraceable ( can't be seen from where), and her cards just buff her disarm and fear utilities to the point it will be frustrating to deal with her, especially in a 1v1 setting. Her Body and Soul ability is probably the least safe movement ability I can think of in this game, but even that can prove useful with her cards giving her more speed and healing. In short, I feel this was a rushed update for the sake of releasing this before Halloween, as besides Kasumi being way too optimal for lots of situations, there are more glaring bugs than usual in a Paladins Update.

Flanks are supposed to be characters who finishes characters using their hyper mobility and kasumi is just bad at that cuz of her slower dmg ramp up and her dash is more like a repositioning tool than aggressive or defensive movement The current playstyle thats feasible from the amount of time i played is her trap fear one and that too is countered by resil and nimble

The thing with the steam charts is that they don't even advertise their update. I regularly play this game and didn't know there was an update. On update day I was like "wait isn't there an update today?". There is just no hype for update or new character.

Interestingly enough, you can just hold down both mouse buttons and it’ll hit both of them as fast as it can. Kinda weird design. You can even hold both as you press Q and after doing that ability it’ll go straight back into attacking. No need for IQ on this one 😅

I will say her damage feels very not okay because of how easy she is to play. I play frontlines much better than dps/flanks generally. Kasumi is insanely easy to clean up enemy champs and getting hit by her from weird angles make it very hard to find her. Her movement feels a bit weak but okay. The stacks are so easy to max quickly and 450 auto attack damage destroys at least for me. I'm definitely not playing against skilled player my account is about level 51 if you're better at mechanics and positioning but aren't as good at aiming she is a great choice. Her ult does 475 dps and maxes stacks instantly. Enemies need to get some form of directional indicator of where she's hitting them from in low level matches she seems extremely dominant. If that's intended that's weird but she's going to be rewarded for playing really weird stupid angles because she can play angles that people can't find her in before they die.

People are wanting buffs in the comments. Please no tbh. She is busted on console with her main build. Everytime I party with someone, me or them would get Kasumi and get 20+ kills almost every game. The movement + attack speed + max self heal with life rip is RIDICULOUS. She does 450 damage a stab (which for some reason gets included in the Savage Tear) and heals for 310 per stab out of Caut. That's literally 69% lifesteal. That's going to get a nerf just like Tiberius' self heal card on chakram hits.

In my Personal opinion, I think that Kasumi is unhealthy for the game, I have always hated auto aim, and Kasumi has an auto aim for a primary fire, Added the fact that you can't hear where she is shooting you from. I really don't think that this is what Paladins needed, you need sound awareness in Hero Shooters to play the game well, her primary fire removes that mechanic. IDK, I guess this is a hot take from a Maeve Main, but still . . .

I've said this in Kirbz's comments and I'm gonna say it again here: Kasumi is death to ANY mobile flank main such as Vatu Or VII or Maeve etc because if you flank her solo she will never miss a single shot on u due to her crazy range of auto aim and ofc her significantly good 1v1 dmg burst 😂 I've literally seen a level 0 Kasumi take down level 100+ Andros and Maeve mains since morning solely because they'd push her solo and while they have to keep weaving and dodging, Kasumi just has to look in ur general direction and that's it you're death since she'd never miss but u will 🤣 😭
