I remember when I was a kid playing rugby I wanted to watch highlights of older players and there weren't any, your work is amazing!

Was my idol growing up. I was of a similar build so tried to style a lot of my game on his - and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the game. Have had the privilege of meeting him too - amazing person. Hero

One of my favourite things about Shane was how much fun it looked like he was having! How it should be played

Shane Williams, respected legend around the world. Smallest man on the field showing no fear. ♥️

Shane simply brought joy and smiles back to Welsh (and world) rugby. Hope I live to see another of his like again.

This is nice but what I truly loved about Shane was the work he was always doing without the ball.

The shocking thing about number 1 wasnt the try 😏😅🇫🇯

He was good not great. Duan vd Merwe is a player that would run around him and circles around him any day of the week. Any SA wing at the moment and in the past 20 years were beter than him. He was with out a doubt the best Wales had, an that just shows how little tallend there is

‘Better’ or based on your grammar….go with ‘more good!’ You’re an obvious wordsmith with an acute knowledge of back three play 😅

And that was 16 years ago. It shows how good a winger you need to be to win that lucrative award

@@shakxv6502 obviously it was a significant try but wasn’t exactly a difficult try for him - it was a walk in!

I think the following are now the minimum for an international winger but Williams was the first I knew about. He could squat 3 times his body weight, for reps and going from the bottom. He could also do full bar bell squats whilst standing on an inflated Swiss Ball. Now I could squat in my playing days, 3 reps of 200 KG but I weighed 92 kg. And that helped me tackle really well ( I was a 15) But I could hardly sit on a Swiss Ball. Every time I watch Williams step, I remember his physical qualities and how in essence, changing direction with just his body weight was very very easy.
