Playing on the wing growing up, Ashton was one of my childhood heroes. Sad to see him retire but happy for as all time highest prem try scorer. Radradra X Ashton at Toulon was an insane combination

One of the best try scorers this country's ever had. Was he the best winger in modern day rugby? Probably not, but just his passion for the game and scoring trys made him one of my idols growing up. Did it in both codes, not something even the best players can claim. If any kid wants to learn how to run a decent support line, watch Ashton play, the best to ever do it.

I think I read/heard a statistic once that stated he ran the same line over 20 times in a match - This just shows the man endeavour, fitness and smarts!

This state makes it even crazier. All time try scorer despite: starting in rugby league, being relegated for a season and playing in france. He would be out of site otherwise
