That sure is a pretty ride, the best sort of flying, I could do that everyday.

I'm no expert, but was that altimeter reading 20 ft at one point ?! What a great flight, crazy plane! Those twin props must make it super stable? Thanks for posting, Gibby!

Good observation! He had zeroed out the altimeter to home field elevation to give an idea of his height above ground level. Cool little trick.

@@AndrewFlyGuy next he should measure the tree height and zero it for that 😁

Were those two different airports? One runway read 36 and one 10.

I wasn't going to say anything but I noticed as well!! lol. But, since we got this cool video I wasn't going to bring it up until i saw your post.. ;). I guess if they aren't doing IMC / IFR inverted approaches, it isn't a big deal anyway...

REALLY great looking plane and flight... I probably should research rather than just ask off the top of my head... How sturdy is the gear under / in your floats? Pretty sure from past videos the "nose wheels" don't retract, or do they at all? My eye is getting more tunnel visioned on the Aircam with floats... Beautiful plane!!

I will buy an Air Cam!

Looks fun but let’s face it, only rich people can afford these things and I own plenty. Is it sour grapes? Probably. 😺

No, not only "rich people" own these.. Motivated and dedicated people, even if not cracking deep into $$$. 4,5 or 6 figures, find a way to get into what they are passionate about.. Everyone else in the USA (outside of mental / physical limitations) can as well.. It is simply life choices and priorities.. I've been flat broke 2 .5 decades ago with not much "higher education" to speak of.. AND, I also ended up pulled in over $30k a month (after expenses and taxes) working on two decades ago, prior to me selling my interests in businesses I busted my arse with.. Put my kids through college, and ended up NOT buying that MD530 helicopter I trained for, and wanted to buy.. Got out of a deal with a few friends on a Lancair 4P, which I still miss.. No regrets.. Priorities.. Plans.. I'm NOT dogging friend.. I'm just saying, getting into an Aircam (or pretty much any other (now called) light sport aircraft or experimental is in reach IF you work for it.. There should be no "shortcuts" if you care about your life... However, there are so many ways to get up in the sky safely, for relatively low $$...

@@frisk151 OK DAD, thanks for the pep talk. An air cam already built used goes for $250.000 to $175.000. At least the few I’ve even seen for sale. The kits are close to the same then you have to have a place to build it the proper tools, the know how and the time. Then it needs a place to be kept and maintained. Ya it’s 99% rich people that own them. Look I own a ten acre ranch ! 2 trucks a mini van and 2 custom Harleys and I’m a private pilot. I’ve lived in Hawaii, California, Nevada and Utah and I’m retired in Kentucky and I can’t afford one . My point is I’ve been very motivated all my life. I NEVER EVEN HAD KIDS! Airplanes in general are ridiculously expensive! Because of the internet there’s millions of people doing it now so prices are through the roof! Ya I could get into an ultra light or possibly a LS that’s what I’m thinking but I also have horses and dogs and a few other animals and it’s all expensive especially with this POS Current President/ administration we have! Good luck.👍
