I think the Magna Forest Esc is a good compromise between everything.

@@N1nj4un1corn Personally, I love the Gobit Winter. kzbin.info/www/bejne/poGcZHx-qLaol5o It's super comfortable and warm, especially with Injinji wool toe socks and a thin wool insole. There's minimal grip, but that doesn't bother me, I just walk mindfully on snow, ice, etc. If you want a deeper tread, any of the Tracker AT boots would be a good pick. bit.ly/47yq395 There's still a good amount of flex, but they'd grip better in snow.

Hi Andrew Ive been looking for a barefoot Wellington boot I live in the UK and it gets very muddy a lot of the time. So far I have not found anything how about you, any signs of a barefoot wellington boot?
@AndrewFolts4 ай бұрын
Hey there, no, unfortunately there aren't any barefoot rain boots. The closest things I've found are the Vivo Gobi Boot kzbin.info/www/bejne/jojScpZ7jNOfgc0 and Ahinsa Jaya kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGTWhGNmaKagsJY, which both have high water resistance, although aren't 100% waterproof. The Vivo Tracker FG kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJyyfZVne8d_gtk and Textile kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqSbe2yYj891sNk are waterproof and great for rain, although they're more geared towards trails and have insulation for colder weather..

please help me choose 😊 next summer I will be hiking for 8 days through the Italian Alps (Mont Avic/Matterhorn etc). I don't know which 'area' that is and which vivo is most suitable?
@AndrewFolts4 ай бұрын
Probably you would want either the Magna FG bit.ly/45XCrO3 if you prefer more ground feel and flexibility, or the Magna ESC bit.ly/41y12Yx if you prefer less flexibility but more protection and expect a lot of rugged terrain. The Magna upper is nice for breathability and temp regulation in mountainous areas where the weather can vary drastically. Either way, make sure to bring the extra insole along just in case you end up needing more padding. Also, I always use Injinji merino wool toe socks bit.ly/3dvdcgk, since they're far more breathable and create airflow between your toes for long days. You can layer some regular Smartwool's over them if needed. amzn.to/47ZyCZJ

@@AndrewFolts So the FG and ESC are both WR and breathable? I van also wear the FG in the mountains where the weather can vary drastically? Or did you mean the ESC? Thank you so much for your answers 🙌🏻 Your video’s helps me a lot!

My Magna FGs feel a bit tight due to the firmness of the leather upper. Do you find that they have more give over time once the leather breaks in?
@AndrewFolts4 ай бұрын
Yea, like all leather they do soften, especially with occasional beeswax treatment. Just make sure you have around a thumbnail's space at the end. Being too short can make boots tight too.

By train do you mean running or hiking or both? What type of terrain are you on? Roads? Trails? Mud? Dry? Gym?

@@AndrewFolts Training = hiking in forest area. I’m going on a hike tour in Italy (around mont avic, Matterhorn). I really don’t know what terrain I van expect. This is my first Time preparing for a hiking tour. But my second year allround walking barefoot (shoes). I’m from Holland, so we don’t have rocky areas here. @@daisyvandenhoven3126 Gotcha. I personally prefer the Magna FG, because you can always add an insole for more padding as needed, but you can't take thickness away from a thick sole, like the ESC.
