How do you think someone would feel if you called them “Billy” when their actual name is “Tim” or a “she” a “he”? One honest mistake is fine, but constantly misnaming someone (even if they aren’t trans) is not ok, it’s disrespectful. I know this as someone who’s name has been mispronounced multiple times. And you used “they” in a way that can be singular or plural, so it’s also good. It’s basic human decency, which is important, so please try to respect people, and improve mistakes, as we all do, and use names correctly, cause you wouldn’t like it if someone misnamed you constantly, even after correcting them.
