I have no words to sufficiently describe what was just performed. I discovered Borlai about two years ago on KZbin and will always be absolutely amazed of his level of performance. He needs no band he's it. Thanks for the thoughtful critique on such a phenomenally exceptional drummer.
@myprivateyoutube144010 ай бұрын
I do wish he'd find himself in a famous band. Just so more of the KZbin mouthbreathers that constantly parrot "Portnoy, Peart, Mangini, Gartska etc" could see what's what. Not that those drummers aren't all amazing, of course. They are. But Borlai easily eclipses them all. I think the only drummer I can think of that breaths the same air as Gergo is Vinnie.

It is hypnotizing watching and listening to Gergo. The quantity of orchestrated hits he has to keep track of is astounding much less then going on to play them so incredibly. I've loved the drums for five decades and in all that time Gergo stands alone in what he does on a drum set. This is actually the third time Ive watched your reaction. It's like I need to see that your seeing what I'm seeing just to assure myself that I'm not going crazy. Great reaction to an unreal performance.

We get tuplet paradise with increasing tuplets (I think) - I definitely need to listen to more 5 tuplets to "hear" them. Then some tasty 9/8 goodness. The clarity is unreal. Implying different meters is unreal. Accuracy. Impressive. Thanks to the original requestor and for the reaction. (Another of your videos convinced me to change my reso heads... But what i love most about this concert is the level of musicality (?), this idea of "a" music, a song, in which all instruments are equal participants. I also really like the variety of musical references in it, as i hear ideas or sounds of Frank Zappa, old Genesis, Dream Theater, System of a down, George Clinton, and...and...and... and i'm only halfway through...
