This cheap reel is awesome! Seasir Cast-X

I have fished the Seasir X 2 pretty hard this autum.Used it mostly for channel pike, ripping glidebaits or grinding spinnerbaits through heavy weeds. So far the reel has survived the abuse, though the anti reverse did slip occasionally in cold weather. But thats normal for many reels without a backup anti reverse clutch. If you do not abuse it like I do, then it is a very good reel for the price.

My only concern is the durability and some report an issue with the line getting between the spool gap. I noticed even higher end reels don’t use funnel shaped guides but I’m wondering if it makes a difference…

I bought the cast X 2 and I'm happy with the performance during my fishing trips. I believe it is fishing equipment with excellent value for money. The only modification I made was replacing the crank shaft base bushing with a bearing. I advise anyone who buys the Cast X2 to carry out maintenance as the internal parts come from the factory with excess blue grease. Sory for my English.

Hello, what maximum weights can you cast with this reel?

@@arzhprod - I don't use very large baits in my fishing here in Southern Brazil. But CAST X2 casts baits between 5g and 17g

How does this compare with the TSURINOYA Dark Wolf that I know you have? Is it a similar build quality? I have the Dark Wolf 150 and thinking about buying one more in a similar size ( the150 looks almost identical to the Ultra but it is a little bigger).

Only ever had Tsu DWU. If bigger Tsu is similar to DWU, then TSU is better but about 4x more expensive.

Ceramic bearings, carbon handle, drag clicker and all this for less than 20£ its more than a bargain! :D
