With the exception of a few Americans, British, and Australians, I rarely know that there are New Zealanders that choose to live here also. I believe as we become older, we learn to tolerate being alone ourselves more. Thanks to IT, we no longer experience isolation. We can still communicate with the outside world for free, watch whatever we want to watch anytime we like, and do whatever we want alone and without interruption. Living abroad in those times may have seemed very unusual because it was difficult to obtain our native goods, but now still buy durian even if you reside in the UK. Therefore, if you're not too picky and easily adapted, there are already no boundaries in terms of the standard of living around the world. I sincerely hope that you and Jill will enjoy your time here for many more years to come.

It used to be more affordable to live in NZ and it’s so hard for the young people these days.
@BigBrother04 Жыл бұрын
Young Kiwis CANNOT afford to buy a house, definitely not in Auckland. Unless they have parents who can help. For a start, they need to save up 20% of the house price, which is over 200k since the average house in Auckland is over 1 million. Then they have to earn enough to qualify for that sort of mortgage, which is hard, especially at the current rates of above 6.5%. It is quite a sad state of affairs and some are moving to Australia which is also inflated, except maybe Perth and Adelaide - and at least Australia has relatively better wages than NZ.

I don't know what ministers in the Malaysian government earn but to expect foreigners to have at least RM1 Million savings (GBP200,000) together with liquid assets of RM1.5 Million (GBP300,000) to qualify for the MM2H programme is outrageous.
