I use a peach fruit as my example. The outside of the peach is flesh. The heart of the peach is made up of a seed. The seed is made up of the hard outside and the tender life giving dna of the inside. Our soul is hard against the things of god. But our spirit is tender towards god and is the inner most part of our heart. This is the part of our heart that contains the DNA of God. Our born again spirit

Of course this is true, you can reason with your soul; I have done it! I wonder why Andrew didn't use these verses:... Psalm 62:5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him... Psalm 43:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God... ...Psalm 116:7 Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.... How could you talk to your soul in this way and believe anything would change, if your soul was not a separate part of you? You are spirit and your soul is like the interpreter between you (spirit) and your body. Andrew is such a great teacher expressing eternal, spiritual truths in down to earth language and mannerisms.
