Andrew the people that do not like to hear this ;and only want to hear soothing words are people that really don't want to grow in Christ .I've always had a hard time understanding Hebrews and I'm so intrigued and overjoyed to hear you talk about this .

Righteousness to a born again Christian is a GIFT. It is imputed or imparted righteousness that can NEVER be achieved on our own. It is given and imparted from God to the born again Believer IN CHRIST to ALL who BELIEVE and are totally trusting IN CHRIST for their salvation and understanding that it is a FINISHED work. Our righteousness without imputed righteousness is like FILTHY RAGS. The ONLY RIGHTEOUSNESS that God will accept or acknowledge regarding SALVATION is the GIFT of RIGHTEOUSNESS given to all those who are found IN CHRIST. No one can get to Heaven without God's imputed or as some would say imparted righteousness. It is a GIFT and could never be earned. Praise the Lord!

No there was no Iraq. He came from Ur. That was later, much later called Iraq. He was a hebrew.
