Just a tip extra tip: If you don't have/want to glue you can sew the ends vertically together ( right sides together).

thank you so much for this. May I make a suggestion? IDK but it looks like you're wasting a bunch of tulle. I know its cheap, but you could always fold it so you don't waste what's cut. you know instead of filing it in halve, fold it so that what your daughter cuts off is enough to be used for the next sock.

Does the channel have to be the same size of the elastic in order for it to start ruffling as you feed the elastic through with the safety pin? I tried the tutorial but my channel is bigger than my elastic and it’s not ruffling when I feed through the elastic.

Great tutorial , I’m super new to sewing and I’m attempting this weekend but I am a bit confused on the “channel” so is it literally just a loop ? is the channel smaller than the elastic ? And do you sew that part after or before sewing the ribbon?

The channel is where the elastic is going is a tunnel..no it can not be smaller then the elastic ..you can sew it before or after the ribbon is up to you
