ANDRITZ membrane sidebar filter press with cloth washing device (operating principle)

The video shows the operating principle of the ANDRITZ sidebar filter press with membrane technology and filter cloth washing device. The key steps of the filtration process presented are the closing and feeding of the filter press, membrane pre-squeezing, cake washing, squeezing of the membrane, cake and core blowing, release of membrane pressure, opening of the filter press, filter cake discharge, filter press closing, and filter plate washing.
With ANDRITZ membrane filter presses, significantly higher dry substance content can be obtained. A flexible membrane is secured to the support body. The membrane is impermeable and compresses the cake within the chamber after the filtration process has been completed. Water or gas can be used as the membrane inflating medium.
The filter cloth washing device ensures both throughput and performance, and increases the lifespan of the filter plates and cloths.
