I develop mobile apps in Ionic. Ionic apps are hybrid mobile applications wrapped under cordova to run on mobile devices. So far, I really enjoyed working in Ionic, working with Angular, Node.js and typescript. I plan on moving to another mobile development framework, either java or flutter. Any other Ionic developer here. What do you guys recommend?

If i want to program my dad an app that is a voice command. he is working as a salesman and he is driving while answering the phone but sometimes he has to go on Whatsapp to look at trucks and selling it and all. i am a little worried about him losing focus so I wanted to create an app that could basically do all he did but in voice commend. i want to know where I should program it because it has to do voice commands that require to open Whatsapp command open keyboard command type command send command call like things a sales man would do

You are a good daughter :) I think google assistant can do that. Something like saying "Ok Google, send a WhatsApp message to Emilia I am on the way home". I haven't tried that yet though, google voice recognition kind of suck in my native language.

How to develop and app for both Android and iOS devices? There are 4 ways: 0. Straight forward way: Develop two completly separate apps. - Downside: It's a total duplication of work. 1. Separation of concerns: Develop two small viewer native apps that share one back-end server that feeds both of this apps and supports the logic in common, but they are developed in isolation. - Example: A node.js back-end server that communicate with both java viewer app and swift viewer app. 2. Transpile: Develop one code base that will then transpile with a special tool to be native apps in both types of devices. - Example: The sepecial tools can be flutter or React Native. - Downside: The transpile it's not perfect. 3. Web Apps: Develop a website that looks and performs just like an app so you can use it in both types of devices just the same by going to the browser and visiting that web page.

Hate everything about Android Studio! I was a beginner and I had to switch to web development because of it and lack of tutorials. Also, Java is hard for beginners because of how verbose it is and amount of boiler plate that there is. If I ever try phone apps again it will be in React(Native or as a PWA) or Flutter...

I'm a web development kind of guy and a big fan of React for PWAs. However, if I were going to spend any time studying mobile I would go with Flutter. The syntax is fairly similar to JavaScript and the end results are far more efficient in terms of performance.
